"There is a very complex thing that occurs for many of our characters that places a lot of them in a position to discover what they're made of," the ever-tight-lipped Grey's boss Shonda Rhimes teases of the major event that erupts in the season-ender. (Seriously, she said "thing.") "I don't know that you could guess it," she says.

Challenge accepted! Could it be a forest fire that threatens to claim Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Derek's (Patrick Dempsey) recently finished McMansion? Maybe a rescue helicopter will fall from the roof and crush one of the docs? (Wait a minute; that sounds familiar.) Rhimes' only clue: When we asked whether this incident is similar to the devastating ferry boat crash or the rampaging shooter from seasons past, she replied, "Yes. That's a yes to both!"

    We know that some characters won't be back next season but I wonder if it's becaouse some of them will die.

    boat crash & shooting scene both were so crazy & senseless even george death was so breathtaking means sitting in the sofa with a lot of tissue & crying.(sniff,sniff)

     Say what?  In that finale, Ava had a complete breakdown that ended in blood, there was the person trapped in cement, and Derek and Meredith's clinical trial patient dies.  It's only at the very end of the second half of that finale where things aren't completely bleak.

    I am so scared of whats going to happen. I keep hearing there is not going to be anymore greys all together. I dont know what i would do without it! I hope if theres no more greys they atleast keep some of the characters in privite or something also i thought Dereks family was suppouse to be on this season... hope that dont mean Derek or Mer die! Argh super stressful!
