Grey's Anatomy's executive producer Shonda Rhimes has confirmed to me exclusively that a beloved character will die in the ABC drama's May 17 season finale. "A lot of our writers were crying, which is a very rare thing," she says. "There's some really shocking, horrible moments."

Shonda refusing to speak about Callie and Arizona has me worried. I don't think either of them are the deaths, but still.
Please not Meredith, Christina, Alex or Derek! I have a horrible feeling it will be Christina though! I guess we won't find out till next season! I'm scared

ReplyDeleteHonestly i don't know. One minute its Meridith,the next its Callie or Arizona.To tell the truth i wouldn't mind if it was one of them,i never became invested in Arizona or Callie so it wouldn't affect me..

ReplyDeleteI don't think it is her.. If you read Shonda's interview with Natalie Abrams with TV Guide, she indicates that Owen and Cristina's journey will continue. Her exact quote: "In the episode before the finale, you will feel like you know what's going to happen to them, but their journey really does continue."

ReplyDeleteOh man... I figured something like this was going to happen when contract negotiations started up. I really just don't want her to kill Alex off - that poor guy hasn't had any real happiness for so long, and to kill him off just seems cruel. Give him a chance!
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of with you on this one - I do like Callie, though. I never got as invested in her relationship with Arizona as everyone else seemed to, but I'd be really sad to see her go. And I guess I'd be sad for Alex if Arizona died - I like their scenes.
ReplyDeleteYes me too,and i love the fact that Arizona is afraid of losing Alex to another hospital! I was so happy when Alex realized she thought so much of him as a doctor,the look on his face was priceless! ..Its so rare when you see Alex happy or being recognized as a good doctor by his peers,so when it does happen you can't help but get excited for him..I hope its not him who gets axed.....

Well, I just hope that when it's time we'll get a decent series finale, I'd be very sad if characters are just starting to leave one after one until the ratings aren't good enough anymore and then there'd be a crappy finale - or even worse: An extremely unsatisfying open ending.

ReplyDeleteI'm almost 60 percent sure it might be Derek unfortunately IMO I think he is the one out of all the other characters that would make sense to die...Meredith (no because she is pretty much the protagonist), Christina no because her and Owen still have stuff that they need to work on. Alex, I don't think so, it's a little random and also Drew tweeted that she had her last scene with Chambers and Williams which must mean that they are the other people in the hospital? Not sure and Webber can't die if Devine is still on the show next season...

ReplyDeleteI don't agree with you too often but I will right here. I would royally suck if Alex died. As long as Shonda doesn't kill Alex, April, Mark, Lexie, or Arizona I'm okay with whatever happens.
ReplyDeletebeloved character - at no time has it been said still currently on the show so i'm going with they find out Izzie has died, end of KH coming back. I think this would effect everyone in one way or another.

Alex more - as he was married to her.
Derek - as he was the surgeon orginally and cos he's married to Meredith need's to support his wife.
Bailey - She was part of her babies.
Webber - cos he was an orginal and was chief when she was about.
Callie - only because of the George connection bring's back memories.
I think it could be alex cause i read that throughout the journey to the finale the showcase how much alex has changed and maybe they get into a plane crash and maybe alex dies saving someone but either way i don;t think it is merder cause meredith is kind of the reason the show has a name and if they kill of der then mer will be so depressed and destructive i dont think its cristina cause they said the owen cristina relationship is a journey and i doubt it will be one of the mercy west charecters cause although i love them a death from one of them wont hit us like a death from mer cristina or alex would cause they are the original charecters and it won't be bailey cause its bailey but either way its gonna be say cause any one of them dying is sad and heartbreaking
ReplyDeleteI think it is going to be Richard. The clue is that it is a beloved character and he is the only character on the show that is beloved by all of the other characters. If he dies, every single one of them is going to be devastated. The impact will be great.
