  3. I'm still not sure if not having read the books is a good thing or a bad thing... on one hand, I love seeing things fresh every week - it's nice to see everything for the first time without the benefit of having read it. But promos like this make me wonder haha... I just want to know what's going to happen!

  6. As one that's read the books long before the series hit the air I can;t say which is better or more fun, but I can say that even as you read the books you have no idea what is going to happen next! Maybe more so honestly dues to the writing style.

  7. Cersei can really be an idiot sometimes.  There's an army headed toward Kings Landing and she still can't manage to put personal vendettas on the backburner, even temporarily.  It's probably that same lack of rational thought, lack of self control, and destructive impetuousness that led her to start screwing her brother in the first place.

  8. I guess we'll get the first glimpse at The King Who Lost the North in this episode... and the first glimpse at Ygritte! Looks great!
Also looking forward to the Myrcella send-off and the mob situation.

  9. I can tell you something about it as someone who read the books after seing season 1. Yes, it's true that "watching fresh" is much more exciting - of course I would love not to know what happens next and be shocked as I see things happening - but honestly, I had all that already, when reading the books. Same kind of shock and excitement, different medium to deliver it, that's all. I am much more critical towards the show now that I know what they've changed and yes, it does make me appreciate it a little (just a little) less than I did season 1. However, knowing a little more about the mythology and say, geography of Westeros, it makes it way easier to follow the show and appreciate other things, like acting.

Also, had I seen all seasons first, I don't think I would have later made it through the books. I dislike reading books I know the ending of. Much more so than seing a TV show knowing (more or less) what happens next (cause really, you never know HOW they will make it happen).

Finally, I don't think I would be able to wait 9 months to find out what happens, being able to read about it anytime I want. I'm pretty impatient ;)
