DEAR SWEET JESUS AND ALL THAT HOLY IN THIS WORLD, I'M SO HAPPY THAT I ALMOST CAN'T STAND IT AT THIS MOMENT!!!!!! THANK YOU FOX AND WB FOR MAKING THIS HAPPEN!!!!! Now, an incredible show will have the ability to go out the way it deserves too!!!!!!! :D YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Brilliant - so happy about season 5. It may be the last season but it's great to see Fox still has a commitment to the show - they're even promoting season 5 before season 4 has even ended.
WAHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, I am so excited, I can't even truly verbalize it. Fox, I forgive you for Firefly. And Sarah Connor Chronicles. And how awesome are the Fringe promo makers? I love them, and I love Fox, and I love Fringe, and everything is good today.
I'd love him to be involved, but I feel Joe Chappelle or maybe Wyman deserve the finale. Now a J.J. season premiere... that would be awesome (and great promotion too)
I got stoked when I read the announced. Now I've seen the trailer too, here's some gritty realism - it's airing 2012/13? As in it's still going to have some stupid long break over christmas? I assumed a Lost-style 13 back to back early 2013 onwards. The breaks kill the show, even for me - takes a while to get back involved.
Hmmm.. I wonder if it can be avoided by starting on September 12 running for 11 weeks and then having a 2-hour finale. It would only hit the first week of December I believe.
Wasn't there an easter egg in the last episode on the door keypad where the code was 092112? I would take that as the premiere date as September 21st. :)
I thought about that too, but chose to ignore it for now since I think the schedule I gave is the best choice.
IF they start a week later it still works if they run 2 weeks into December or if they skip the day off for Thanksgiving. Not too many shows run new episodes past the second week of December that I recall so that would be pushing it if they want to get all the episodes into 2012.
I think having 3-5 weeks off for the last 3 or 4 episodes is just ridiculous and hope they get everything in before Christmas break!
Fantastic. I am so happy about this. Finally after all the bad things Fox has done to my favourite shows, they have done something right. Thank you Fox.
As a British viewer, it always blows my mind that they take off all the good TV over your holiday seasons.... Some of our best TV ties into the holiday seasons - it means there's the best on TV when everyone is actually there to watch it.
What, not a multi-tasker? I expected more from you! Surely two crazy dancing Lauras from parallel universes could persuade you to put your coffee-sippy down! (;
Yaeh! That was really nice!!!!:D --And I am also excited that Abrams said the final season will be "wild and thrilling"...I looking forward to see what he means by that!
If they want to take shows off on the actual holiday (say December 25 for Christmas) I can understand that on some level, but the week before? No idea why they do that either.....
I did not have that specific date in mind, but I was thinking of the World Series....If they start it on Sept 14 instead of Sept 21 it gives them a extra week to lose for sports or Presidential speeches etc.
Of course with best-of-5 or bed-of-7 playoff series you can never be sure of what days game will be televised.....
Yeah! I can't wait to see what he has in store for us,but it could only mean something thrilling! I'm already hoping for a spin-off,normally i don't like them but 4.19 was so good i can see them picking it up from there and going on with the story?
This is the best Fringe Friday we could possibly ask for! Are you ready? Ha!!! :D
Might be because people are shopping, having parties, going to parties, cooking, cleaning, decorating, watching holiday shows and traveling. There is just too much to do to sit and watch new shows, plus then the networks would have to add more episodes or re-run shows at another time. Most people don't mind the holiday programs and re-runs because they are just too busy or exhausted during that period..
I know that is true for some or maybe most people, but after a day or night with family (or shopping) I would rather have something to look forward to at home on my DVR! XD
Also, a number of UK shows have Christmas day (or I should say Christmas night) episodes and do as well as normal in the ratings if not better.
Yes i agree,i would rather have something other than x-mas shows,or holiday shows any day specially since almost all the holiday shows they put on have been running for years!
I was watching the promo again...at 39 secs Peter walks down the escalator stairs and says, "Everything we have been through is preparation for what we face here." When he gets to the bottom of the steps it's clear by what they are wearing that this is a clip we haven't seen from 2036!
The escalators not only parallel the newer cool promo art poster reminiscent of Kula Shaker's "Peasant, Pigs, and Asronauts: album cover, but def makes me think of John Locke's experience at the airport in "Further Instructions"...
"Today is the day which we were created for" is seriously bothering me. Makes me think of BSG and how everyone important turned out to be cylons. I hope this is not a hint... That whole BSG storyline sucked big time.
Me too! :D I'm just so grateful for a 5th season,i think this is one show that requires a planned and proper ending....well,okay who am i kidding i can't say goodbye....not yet,oh okay, not ever! I'm just hopelessly in love with this show, and Walter!! I figured i can sit back and really enjoy the last 2 episodes of this season cause sure enough when September,October rolls around withdrawal will start to set in and we'll all be crying in our beer,or pop........... :) :( :)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I'M SO EXCITED

FOR SO LONG. JWFRINGE."
Brilliant - so happy about season 5. It may be the last season but it's great to see Fox still has a commitment to the show - they're even promoting season 5 before season 4 has even ended.

It's a sad, sad day...in the Alternate Universe. Poor souls will never get to see season five, but we will! :D
ReplyDeleteOMG. Goosebumps...
ReplyDeleteAll you need is to show this trailer to anyone who's never seen the show. I can assure you they will immediately run and buy the first season.
ReplyDeleteFringe season 5, woot woot! Yeahh, happy and sad at the same time. Only one season more to go!
ReplyDeleteWAHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, I am so excited, I can't even truly verbalize it. Fox, I forgive you for Firefly. And Sarah Connor Chronicles. And how awesome are the Fringe promo makers? I love them, and I love Fox, and I love Fringe, and everything is good today.

ReplyDeleteI'm crying, I'm so happy.
ReplyDeleteFOX really knows how to make an announcement. This is great. Way to get people stoked about a return 5 months beforehand. I wish CW would take note.
ReplyDeleteHELL,YES! OMG! I'M SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!
ReplyDeleteSo excited & that promo just makes me jump up & down. Cannot wait. Thank you Kevin Reilly & Fox for listening to the fans :)))
ReplyDeleteFuck. Yes.
ReplyDeleteHearing about this news the day of my birthday... Ok, THE BEST GIFT EVER!!!!!!!! I'm so proud of this amazing tv show... THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'd love him to be involved, but I feel Joe Chappelle or maybe Wyman deserve the finale. Now a J.J. season premiere... that would be awesome (and great promotion too)

Awesome trailer! Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteAgreed. I don't think there's any chance they will go past the 2nd week in December. Your schedule, give or take, is about perfect.
ReplyDeleteThat's just amazing! And this promo is great:)
ReplyDeleteFantastic. I am so happy about this. Finally after all the bad things Fox has done to my favourite shows, they have done something right. Thank you Fox.
ReplyDeleteOne thing - I doubt there is an episode on October 26 for the World Series. Then they play Thanksgiving weekend to make up for it.
ReplyDeleteOr still take that day off too and make the finale Dec 14.
ReplyDeleteAs a British viewer, it always blows my mind that they take off all the good TV over your holiday seasons.... Some of our best TV ties into the holiday seasons - it means there's the best on TV when everyone is actually there to watch it.
ReplyDeleteToday is the day which we were created for? *uncontrolable sobbing*

ReplyDeleteHi! And Welcome! (:
ReplyDeleteI've never understood it either!
ReplyDeleteIf they want to take shows off on the actual holiday (say December 25 for Christmas) I can understand that on some level, but the week before? No idea why they do that either.....
Ha!
ReplyDeleteI guess in one universe I may be sucking on Coffee Chews since coffee is outlawed or unavailable! XD
I did not have that specific date in mind, but I was thinking of the World Series....If they start it on Sept 14 instead of Sept 21 it gives them a extra week to lose for sports or Presidential speeches etc.
ReplyDeleteOf course with best-of-5 or bed-of-7 playoff series you can never be sure of what days game will be televised.....
Ack! I still remember the preemption for the world series last year!
ReplyDeleteYeah! I can't wait to see what he has in store for us,but it could only mean something thrilling! I'm already hoping for a spin-off,normally i don't like them but 4.19 was so good i can see them picking it up from there and going on with the story?

ReplyDeleteHello there! Thank you! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great day you came out and post welcome! So glad you came to join us celebrating the renewal of Fringe! :)
ReplyDeleteVery great day. I'm STILL happy about the Fringe renewal. Thank you for the welcome! TV shows should all have proper sendoffs, in my opinion. :)
