“We’ve shot two [endings],” John Noble told TVLine at the opening of the Beverly Hills Paley Center’s “Television: Out of the Box” exhibit, which was created in conjunction with Warner Bros. TV.

Noble says many “big questions” will be answered in the season finale airing May 11 — including the matter of Olivia being fated to die (and whether the animated episode’s “Mr. X” figures into it) and Walter shouldering the burden of responsibility for the warring universes. Viewers also can expect a surprise on the villainy front (David Robert Jones plays “a very big part, but not as big as you think,” Noble teased. “There’s something bigger.”)

    Somehow I don't think the other ending the one they are planning to air if the show gets cancelled will be on the dvd if we get picked up because it's probably too revealing. But at some point we better get to see it.

    Ok just for fun I will take a little guess....

    Canaan helps Jones get Olivia, but then changes his mind because Jones is "bad" person, so Canaan kills and becomes Jones...but it wasn't Jones, but a clone of Jones, a perfected shapeshifter, so Canaan is lost and becomes bad and then he kills Olivia...and then the Observers come an kill him! :p

    Ok maybe not, but I could so this thing get really out of control so who knows!

    But in any case I am excited and I hope we get the ending reflecting a season 5 (which probably means Olivia dies).

    I mean only if there is a season 5...otherwise I say she lives...

    I am kind interested in RM's role too...there was a mild implication that she could be Peter's new love interest? -I wonder if Olivia needed a new body? 

    But I also think she could play Meana and Jones love child, or a younger version of Nina/Meana...depending on how much the time traveling box is going to be opened to us.

    Yeah, I thought about this the other day. I think is a good choice to shoot 2 finales, considering that they've already finished shooting and they still don't know the show's fate.
    If it ends now (crossing fingers that it doesn't) at least they can finish the show properly.
    If it doesn't, then we'll have a great cliffhanger that'll keep us in a coma until S5.

    I think we have all figured out that someone's pulling DRJ's puppet strings. Whether that's the Observers or something different remains to be seen...

    Is one version Olivia dying and the other not? I like the thought above that September takes the bullet for Olivia.

    William Bell is behind Jones. He's alive, but not in physical form (remember how Nina communicated with him in Brown Betty?). Jones needs him for something, maybe whatever reassembled him after being cut in half; but after he gets what he needs from Bell, Jones'll throw him under the bus.

    Maybe, but in the season 1-3 time line it was revealed that DRJ went "Rogue" from Massive Dynamic and we come to see that he has taken Bell's (and Walter's) work (The ZFT Manifesto) and corrupt it for his own agenda...we never learned what that full agenda was....nor did we learn how William and Walter came to believe the manifesto was necessary....

    I really want Fringe to come back. But if I had to make a bet, I'll bet that it won't be renewed. So it's a good thing that they have shot an ending in case they are cancelled. We will get a series finale if it's not renewed which is a really good thing. I'd hate to stick around for 4 season only to get a cliffhanger in the end.

    WTF ???? They are crazy in their minds ! I really like the idea but I think we will get a fifth season. They just want to stress us, drive us crazy to prove our devotion to the show. They are really nice and they are the best writers and the best actors in the world.
    I mean, I'm pretty sure they already know the future of Fringe and they want us to love Fringe more and more each weeks. As I said, to prove that we are the best fans in the whole world. Here in France, I can't wait the news about the renewal. I just want to know it really soon.

    TONIGHT. For sure we will learn it because since the beginning of the week we got so many different informations.

    Wyman said Wednesday (I'm not sure the day), but he said that we will know by the end of the week. Last night, he said that he didn't got informations and today we are learning that they shot 2 endings for the finale. I'm saying it for the third time, they want to drive us crazy for the show !

    They also shot two endings, last year, to end "The Day We Died" the third season finale.

    Don't panic, I am convinced they are doing that for the good of all.

    And if I'm wrong... I'm wrong.

    Just when after last week I come to the decision the Observer's are probably "good" guys (maybe progeny of Olivia and Peter through Henry) trying to prevent time issues.... now the TPTB have to go and shoot down that theory by saying the FRINGE team will be battling the Observers! XD

    Okay... back to thinking.... nope I will not be fooled again!
    This time I will just quietly wait for the answers and not theorize...... See how long this lasts.

    I wonder if the possible season 5 will relate to ZFT....
    If they touch on it in a flash forward to End of Dayers time 2036 in Episode 4.19 and the last episodes will give seasonal closure. Then if they get picked up they can go back to the plot of the flash forward and try to avert the battle or the outcome etc...

    The Observers are totally evil, its the baldness they are bitter at the world and angry at Olivia's gorgeous hair and will do anything to destroy it.

    I'm glad they are doing 2 endings I would rather that then it be left on a really crazy cliffhanger like last season and then get cancelled!  I don't think it will but you never know.

    There seems to be both forward and backwards audio in the video...
    One of the backmasked audio bits is September asking "What are you doing Agent?" and then the word "Hope" is said by I think Peter..

    It's best to be on the safe side.  Imagine if they'd shot one ending that presumed another season, and then they got cancelled.  Better to film a potential series finale just in case.

    I really want a season 5. Not just because it's one of my favourite shows and I don't want it to end, but because I really think there is one more season left in it.  If they cancel the show they are only going to replace it with something rubbish that gets lower ratings, so they might as well give us a chance.

    I kind of think that even though DRJ has yet to say he is apart of the specific group, will still probably be the case, but it will probably have a different name. I can' remember if the animal shapeshifters said the name of their cult, but that might be the name...

    ZFT = End of Dayers = Jones new group = Ministry of Science

    There all scientific-theological terrorist organizations so I think no matter what it's the same thing repeated over and over (although there could still be a battle between groups)

    I don't know if we will continue with Jones next season, but I am wondering of Madder will stick around and what her character's relationship is going to be with him ( I kind of lean towards his and Meana's daughter) 

    I def like the idea of going to the future and having it be "paralled" with us next season! I would also love if they got into yet a third universe with different looking people, but that are also counter parts...I would love for the gang to time travel all around! XD...I think there are SO many fun things they could do, I am just hoping we're lucky enough to see it!
