  1. well, this wierd white palace full of observers looks like their massive-dynamic-style lab.
I watched it very slow and Ive notices words flashing, like "serve", "obey", "heed" - those words connote us about a dictatorial government in the future.
In addition, The flashing words at the end says: "NO IMAGINATION, NO DUE PROCESS, NO PRIVATE THOUGHTS, NO COMMUNITY, NO JOY, NO OWNERSHIP, NO EDUCATION, NO FREEDOM". creepy.
I defenitley can hear something backwards, but I don't have the tools to play it backwards, so if someone can it will be great.
The best for last - I've noticed in 0:06 a very short title that seems like a website link but it brings me to error 404, if someone can find what is that mean... it says:
    2/4
    be.com/watch?

  2. Dor Fiderer  a few of us noticed that also, we think it's part of a link because in the first teaser there's one frame with "1/4" and what appears to be the first part of the link "www.youtu"
Has anyone else tried listening to the teaser backwards, I'm not too sure if my hearing is up to scratch but I can make out a voice saying "he died" and "ancient" or maybe "agent"?

  4. Wow, this is intriguing. I can't wait to find out what the rest of that link is.

  5.  I think when we get all the parts together it will take us to a youtube video with something special...My guess anyway :)

  11. "Your division is in charge of native crime. Would you rather I were in charge of native crime?" Who are the natives?

  12. The Others! j/k

But it is interesting that there may be "people" that are considered "Native" to a PLACE! --But I wondering if they mean Native To A Time?!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Yeah my guess would be that by the 2030s, The Observers rule over "natives," as in humans of the current time and place.

  14. Whenever I see the image of September (or whoever that Observer is) sitting at 0:04, I always think of my favorite movie, 2001: A Space Odyssey.

  15. You're right! It def has that feel and look to it!!!!

I think we may be working toward your King Observer Theory!...It would appear that this time period is acting as "the hub" of all Observers and there influence in various times...

  16.  yup, the first one is to youtube. Now we wait for part 3 and 4 :)

  18. I am also wondering the significance of the Greek-Coptic writing for uppercase "sigma" in the center of the flask?

I went to do a little research

The name of sigma, according to one theory,[1] may continue that of Phoenician Samekh. According to a different theory,[2] its original name may have been "San" (the name today associated with another, obsolete letter), while "Sigma" was a Greek innovation that simply meant "hissing", based on a nominalization of a verb σίζω (sízō, from earlier *sig-jō, meaning 'I hiss').

Upper caseUpper case Σ is used as a symbol for:the summation operator
a class of baryons in particle physics
macroscopic cross sections in nuclear and particle physics
    self-energy in condensed matter physics
the balance of the invoice classes and the overall amount of the debts and demands in economics
the set of symbols that form an alphabet in linguistics and computer science
the covariance matrix of a set of random variables in probability theory and statistics, sometimes in the form  to distinguish it from the summation operator.During the 1930s, an upper case Σ was in use as the symbol of the Ação Integralista Brasileira, a radical right-wing party in Brazil.

So it seemingly has to to with advanced alchemy (flask = chemistry, quantum mechanics, "mixing") and balancing.

So I def think the root of all problems lies here with "The Ministry of Science".

  20. I think we are too, Darth. Look at this screen capture from this promo (courtesy of Fringe Bloggers). The original HTTP had this picture listed as "emperor observer". This might be the guy:

  21. It's SO weird and fun to see one in a trench coat!

    He does look mighty authoritative!

    ReplyDelete
  22. He looks like Mendez, the head mutant from Beneath The Planet Of The Apes.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I'm getting a mash-up of 1984, Fahrenheit 451 & Brave New World in my head.

    ReplyDelete
  24. It's weird....I'm actually thinking that "native on native" is actually the question of "Who Shot September?". As in Observer shooting Observer. Whether it's December, one of the other Observers of the "science division", or some other Observer, I don't know.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Something like "Agent" and "Died"

    ReplyDelete
  26. That's a very good thought. A hitman was hired to gun down August, but did an observer shoot September? Was that against the rules?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Considering September's level of interference in the timeline, it wouldn't surprise me if an Observer took things into his own hands.

  28. I'm so excited for this ep - love the 19 eps and this one looks amazing!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Looks like Peter is sitting with one of the Observers.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Something tells me Walter and Rufus use to go through that exact same routine!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I can't tell if it's Peter or Henry Ian Cusick? --But so far we haven't actually had any set photos of Joshua Jackson or Anna Torv for this episode...so I am wondering if they are even in it?!

    ReplyDelete
  32. my thoughts exactly. My guess: a special message from September!

    ReplyDelete
  33. I just came to add looking as Star Trek Memory Alpha (Star trek wiki) that specifically dealing with Enterprise' series "temporal cold war" the times from which people "originate" are called "native", so it is my guess considering there are so many similarities here, that native crimes does refer to the crimes of the time period in this case their 2036.
