Pilot Shows
ABC has passed on Counter Culture due to the injury of it's star
Delta Burke during filming.
Counter Culture revolves around three sisters — Billie (Kerri Kenney), Nonie (Burke) and Joyce (Margo Martindale) — running their family diner together in West Texas who find that sibling dynamics are always getting in the way of getting the job done. Doris Roberts was to play the sisters’ aunt.

It got passed on because one cast member was hurt? How bad was this injury?
ReplyDeleteshe fell on set and was injured nothing life threatening
ReplyDeleteI was skeptical about how well this show would fit in with ABC's existing lineup anyway.
ReplyDeleteAnd they passed just because of that? Stars are recast from pilots to the actual episodes that air all the time. Methinks this is just an excuse cause they didn't like the pilot. lol
ReplyDeleteIf they dont like the pilot they can just not chose to up to series, so no.
ReplyDeleteMargo Martindale need to do some dramaseries, and a good supporting role like she did on Justified. She needs to get her to cable again. Network tv i just mostly crap for actors her age.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a flimsy reason to "pass on." For something like that you'd either delay or recast.
ReplyDeleteSo agreed, she deserves a great show
