Boardwalk Empire - Season 3 - Will skip ahead a year

Season 3 of "Boardwalk Empire" will skip ahead in time more than a year, which will mean new and even more intense pressures on Nucky Thompson and his Atlantic City machine.

"It's New Year's Eve 1922, going into 1923," creator Terence Winter said Thursday night (April 26) at an Academy of Television Arts and Sciences event. "The world has changed quite a bit. Things have gotten quite a bit more violent as Prohibition has gone on and people are running out of liquor. Hence Nucky's [Steve Buscemi] world is going to change."

  2. No real surprise time goes quite quick on the show, should be very interesting to see where everyone is at a year on

  3. It should be very interesting indeed!

If they tweak the real timeline a little bit I think Capone will be establishing himself as a real power player in Cicero, Illinois.... Which interestingly (if I recall correctly) is where Agent Van Alden fled to....

  4. Oh you are right so I guess we haven't seen the last of Van Alden which is great because Michael Shannon is amazing

  5. Well this ought to be interesting! If they keep up this speed things are going to be more and more interesting in the harsher years of the twenties!

  6. This is the worst they could've possibly come up with after Jimmy's death. Seriously. At least show the consequences of Nucky's actions and how he handles things. Show Gillian's reaction. Show us Richard's thoughts and what he's going to do. Immediate reactions of the people who loved Jimmy.

Seriously. This just seems like they're trying to walk away from the grave they dug themselves with killing off Jimmy.
