Episode 3.02 (What’s Your Story ?) and episode 3.03 (Bundle of Joy) of The Big C, scheduled to air on Showtime respectively on April 15 and April 22, are already available on Showtime on Demand. So if you cannot wait to see the second and third episodes of the winter season of one of the very best series on TV, there's your chance !

As of now, Showtime hasn't done the same with episodes 2 & 3 of Nurse Jackie season 4 and The Borgias season 2.

So as you know, the new seasons of Nurse Jackie, The Big C and The Borgias started last Sunday on Showtime.

Here are the ratings of these season premières :

1 — Nurse Jackie, episode 4.01 (Kettle-kettle-black-black) :

9pm : 653 000 viewers, 0.27% of the 18-49 demo.
+ 11pm : 350 000 viewers, 0.15% of the 18-49 demo.
+ 1am : 117 000 viewers, 0.04% of the 18-49 demo.

= 1.12 million viewers, 0.46% of the 18-49 demo.

2 — ❤ The Big C, episode 3.01 (Thin Ice) :

9:30pm : 581 000 viewers, 0.23% of the 18-49 demo.
+ 11:30pm : 268 000 viewers, 0.12% of the 18-49 demo.
+ 1:30am : 180 000 viewers, 0.08% of the 18-49 demo.

= 1.03 million viewers, 0.43% of the 18-49 demo.

3 — The Borgias, episode 2.01 (The Borgia Bull) :

10pm : 605 000 viewers, 0.23% of the 18-49 demo.
+ 12am : 187 000 viewers, 0.07% of the 18-49 demo.
+ 2am : 139 000 viewers, 0.06% of the 18-49 demo.

= 0.93 million viewers, 0.36% of the 18-49 demo.

It's the first time Nurse Jackie and The Big C air on Sundays and it's a success.

Jackie and Cathy had to face the twelfth (wow, that is a complex word) chapter of the mighty Game of Thrones (3.76 million / 1.9% A18-49 at 9pm + 1.07 million / 0.6% A18-49 at 11pm = 4.93 million viewers / 2.5% of the 18-49 demo) and a new episode of The Killing (AMC cleverly chose to air Mad Men at 10pm instead of 9pm, avoiding the competition of GoT but depriving The Killing of a great lead-in) gathering 1.81 million viewers / 0.6% of the 18-49 demographic.

  1. It seems to me like the only TV networks that know how to make a good airing schedule are AMC and HBO. I only read these terrific ratings news about shows like The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones. It seems they place their shows perfectly to reach the top viewer numbers, while CBS and FOX move everything all around and screws it all up...

  2. I watched all three episodes of both The Borgias and The Big C, excellent, now I have nothing to watch for two weeks on Sundays, oh well

  3. I was wondering why Mad Men moved - it all makes sense now haha.. Game of Thrones is a force to be reckoned with.
