Kirstian Hanson is currently covering WonderCon for Daily Dead and let us know that Michael Rooker announced his return as Merle during the Lollipop Chainsaw panel.
I guess they needed a hotheaded/crazy troublemaker now that Shane is gone. And maybe Merle returning will finally give T-Dog a little more screen time.
Awesome news! I'm curious how that'll affect Daryl, should make for some good situations there. I'm figuring he'll be in Randall's group which I figure is led by the Governor.
Catching Fire was the book, and the movies were "Moonlight: The Complete Series" and "Puss in Boots". They were both cheap, and The Walking Dead was more expensive. I'll get it eventually!
This definitely reinforces my theory that we'll see him at the prison next season. This is also likely why Robert Kirkman said T-Dog will have a lot more to do next season. From what I hear about the comics, the prison story seems like it will be really scary next year, and not because of the zombies.
Tonight is bloodbath time! I hope all the original group live, but if one has to die I would choose Carol. I do like her, but how will she keep the will to fight when her baby is gone? Not to mention her death would affect Daryl. T-dog isn't interesting so far but hopefully we will discover more about him and his past.
In the comics, Rick,Glenn and Michonne get captured by the Governor (this happens while the group is at the prison). The Governor cuts off Rick's hand, because, well...he's a bit of a psycho dick. I highly recommend the comics, they're very dark. I'll also advise you not to read alot of them in one go. I did this after I stopped reading them for a bit (mainly forgot, as the comic is monthly and that's to darn long!) and felt super depressed lol.
Yeah, they're really shocking. The story telling is way better in the comics IMO, especially as there's only so much you can get away with on tv. I still love the tv show though, even if it is flawed at times.
It was done to kind of give a vulnerability to the main character, look at Rick in the comics he has war wounds... I reckon he might lose an eye or something.. its more in a TV budget to do that. numer0six I highly recommend the comics have you ever wanted to rewatch a show that was amazing and you wished there was more but the story was concluded? its that kind of feeling.
hmm.....they can probably imply a lot. you'd be surprised what they can get away with violence wise. what they're uptight about is sex and language. which is bass ackwards, but i try not to rant about that.
I'm curious how much of the comics from that point they can actually show. The governor being tortured like he was in the comics probably won't make the cut xD
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I only want him back for Daryl angst. Can we get Daryl angst please? I didn't really like Merle.
ReplyDelete(In other news, I saw season one at Wal-Mart today and nearly bought it, but decided against it because I had a book and two other movies in my hand.)

ReplyDeleteHe's probably going to work for the Governor.

ReplyDeleteWhat book or movie (other than The Walking Dead comics) could possibly take precedence over one of the best shows on TV these days?
ReplyDeleteCatching Fire was the book, and the movies were "Moonlight: The Complete Series" and "Puss in Boots". They were both cheap, and The Walking Dead was more expensive. I'll get it eventually!
ReplyDeleteI thought the same
ReplyDeleteGreat news!
ReplyDeleteAh, okay. That makes more sense now. Catching Fire is excellent. Getting brushed up for The Hunger Games?

ReplyDeleteProbably not Michonne's rape either...
ReplyDeleteProbably not the Guv's zombie daughter, either.
ReplyDeleteI think it's hilarious how Mazzara is neither confirming nor denying this information on Twitter when he's asked about it.
ReplyDeleteWas only a question of time when it'll be happening.
ReplyDeleteIf T-Dog makes it through tomorrow night...
ReplyDeleteNow that would be truely scarring (yes scar, now scare xD)
ReplyDeleteYes! I read the first one and then found book three this week and book two yesterday. So excited to start reading them.
ReplyDeleteI hope merle is the one who cuts ricks arm off (if they use that from the comics) its more of a justified reason.
ReplyDeleteTonight is bloodbath time!

Rick had his arm cut in the comics?
ReplyDeleteWhy, how?
Was it done to spare him from infection? Or was it done for revenge?
Was it the arm he use his gun with?
Maybe I should read the comic instead of asking a lot of questions ;-)
I doubt they will. Rick is our main character and has the most screen time. Maybe do it to someone else though? T-Dog?
ReplyDeleteExpect Morgans return as well.

Yeah, from what I hear, they seem depressing...and scary lol.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it will be Merle to cut off T-Dog's hand? Idk, I'm just scared for Rick and don't give a shit about T-Dog lol.

ReplyDeleteJust saw the finale. I'm going to read the comics. There is no way I can wait until season three :-D
