Brit TV actor Simon Merrells (The Wolfman, Family Affair) will play Crassus, the richest man in Rome, who craves the power and respect that would come from defeating Spartacus.
Spartacus: Vengeance has averaged 3.1 million viewers this season and included some rather spectacular set-pieces. Producers say the drama will get even more bloody and shocking toward the finale.

Wow. Sounds fantastic. I'm hoping season 3 will be the high point of the rebellion, with the fourth (and final) season be about the downfall of Spartacus.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if this means that Glaber will no longer be a factor next season..If that's the case,it's easy to guess the event that will conclude the current season.Awesomeness is coming!
Well, this season is called "Vengeance." :P
ReplyDeleteTodd Lasance!!! Can't wait to see him as Julius Caesar!
ReplyDeleteFinally!!! I've been waiting for these characters to show up since late season 1....
ReplyDeleteNever read what the plan for the series was, but with Crassus coming into play who I think put an end to the rebellion (or so I think I've read), looks like they're planning the beginning of the end....
ReplyDeleteYeah, I guess a 3-5 Seasons (excluding the Prequel) plan sounds about right.
ReplyDeleteI think 5 might be stretching it... especially with their storytelling pace.
ReplyDeleteI really think that 4 seasons will be it.
Just started watching Spartacus & it's really good. I've read Caesar so I can't wait for the next season
