Shelter - Pilot - Malese Jow joins cast

The JJ Abrams/Mark Schwahn CW pilot series "Shelter" finally casts its male lead in Make it or Break It's Zachary Abel. In addition to Abel, Vampire Diaries actress Malese Jow also joins the cast as a party girl residing at the resort. For more information on their characters and the series, click here.

    She's great. I loved her in Vampire Diaries and the show hasn't been as enjoyable since she left this season.

    With JJ Abrams and Malese, I'll definitely check out this show.

    Isn't this a bit late for a pilot to still be casting?  Shouldn't they be at the shooting point by now?  Not that I mind because this story line sounds like every other CW teen girl focused drama.  By the description alone it seems like it would be perfect summer TV but not so much TV for the winter.

    Gorgeous early college aged kids work at swanky summer resort, where they no doubt party, get in trouble, and share a lot of emoangsting.  (Part of this is editorialized.)

    Is she going be be a part of the regular cast or just as a guest star? Most of these casting news seem to turn out to be only for guest spots. I hope she's part of the regular cast, I really liked her in Vampire Diaries.

    yeah Shelter seems to be real late in production alot of CW pilots have finished filming (Cult, The Selection) and the rest are done in a few days  and this one hasnt even started yet

    I liked Malese a lot in TVD but sorry, Zachary Abel cancels out any interest! He's was a nightmare in MIOBI.
