Star Trek will meet The Secret Circle in an upcoming episode.John de Lancie, well known for playing Q in the Star Trek franchise, has been cast as one of the elders.
The 63-year-old actor will play Royce Armstrong, the powerful, yet recluse grandfather of Jake (Chris Zylka). Royce comes out of hiding to reveal disturbing conspiracy theories about the events of 16 years ago and how the present-day circle is involved.
De Lancie — whose credits also include Stargate SG-1, Breaking Bad and Torchwood: Miracle Day — will first appear in Episode 19 of the freshman series, which airs Thursdays at 9/8c on The CW.

I've always liked him anyway.
At this point, however, I don't know what the CW are going to have to invent to make their ratings pick up.
Even America's Top Model did very poorly.
I think they are going to have to call in the Queen of England to perk up viewers' interest and I don't know if even that would help! ;)
Damn. I had just about given up on this show but I really do love John De Lancie.
