I agree, there are just too many commercial breaks and when something happens or is about to, that is when the breaks happen. But, it was worth seeing Arthur and Gwen finally marry, right? I enjoyed it! But, I guess now we wait quite awhile for another season, but I am happy to hear that there will be a season 5.
Merlin the manipulator - brilliant. But I am not quite sure about the tweak about the sword in the stone. How would Arthur feel if he found out that he had some magic help pulling the sword out? I also find it difficult to understand how Killgarah and Merlin searched out all those people (and got them there in time) without the dragon being noticed. Surely most people would be terrified seeing the dragon (he did cause quite a lot of damage when Merlin released him in season 2!) The end of the episode felt quite rushed - particularly Arthur changing his mind about Gwen. All just because of Isolde? Well,.....
However, how could you not love Arthur's reaction when he went back in the caves to look for Merlin. He acted like an annoyed parent telling a child off (Where have you been, Merlin?) and it was absolutely brilliant to get him admitting that Merlin was his friend, even if he laughed his heartfelt outburst off immediatley afterwards. We know he meant it!
This was my favorite ep of the season, loved Excalibur coming out of the stone, does not bother me that Merlin helped. Had to laugh though thinking of Dean trying to pull that sword out of the stone on SPN.
I did not notice, I just FF thru commercials unless it is the Ford Mustang one and I back up for that one. If all ads were that clever I might stop passing them by. lol
I get started late on lots of excellent series that have already been cancelled, Veronica Mars, Buffy, Angel, Firefly and it was season 3 that I got hooked on SPN. Have watched it over and over, in fact am about half way thru S6...again. I love the early seasons, but dang I do love the humor that Misha brought.
What did you think of the baby dragon on Merlin...I want one. lol
The Sword in the Stone was a copy of The Coming of Arthur! And Excalibur only appeared in Part Two so I don't see why they named the two-parter after it. I was rxpecting much, much more! And it was completely terrible!!!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Is it just me or did it seem every time something exciting happened it was " cut to commercial "?
