Hmm, no weird editing, no bad fight scenes, someone finally told the Norn where to stick it, and Vex and the Morrigan are back in fighting form. All feels right with the world!
It was really badass, when Kenzi barged through Norn's door and it was really funny how Norn started freaking out when she saw the chainsaw like she was the tree, lol.
Knowing Bo/ Trick relationship - btw i guess it before!! Bo/Morrigan sex scene! Vex moving in with Bo and Kenzi References to super Bo and how Lauren caused it Kenzi fighting the Norn and getting some wierd substance on her that will probably affect her - next season? Finally making plans and no bad fight scenes
Yay! Finally Vex is back! And Dyson is his normal "shipping kick ass wolf" self again! The Morrigan is back in fighting and sexy form, what a great scene with Bo, both hot and funny! :-) The Kenzi/Norn scenes were really funny too, but I can't stop thinking about how this season would have been great if Kenzi had thought earlier about Dyson's problems and got her chainsaw sooner... Also I can't understand why Trick didn't told Bo he was her grandfather...and why the writers choose to give us all the great stuff in the last episodes, instead of dispatching it during the whole season... the first half is so empty, boring and kind of a waste of time in my opinion. Now I'm really looking forward to the finale season (please, give us at least one great Dyson/Bo scene, we've been waiting for so looong!)!
I've never seen a poll like this, no one voted anything lower then OK 0_o That being said, I can see why, this episode was awesome! The Morigan/Bo scene... hot! I love Vex, so great to see him back, and potentially could stick around next season.
I forgot to mention the whole Dyson/Kensi part. I loved it. Anyone who has read my comments over the last season will know I've been calling Dyson a douche a lot, and am thrilled to see him back to normal. I loved how Kensi managed it, the chainsaw was hilarious (especially the entrance). I was looking forward to seeing Bo and Dyson together (not couple, I mean just getting along like they used to) but after the Morrigan scene, I think I would rather see Bo go dark (I'm kidding but you have to admit the scene was hot).
The whole goo on her hand pretty much makes sure it will be in same body. Let's just hope that its truly TWO characters in one and not "one character in the dead body of the other's"...
HA! And what a pity! :-) Dyson should have confide in her the first time he went to the Norn.Anyway, I love so much Kenzi! And I liked how, as the only human, she gets to have what she wants of a so powerful Fae, using a simple and human way, a chainsaw!I can't wait for seeing the amazing Kenzi in season 3!
It was a really good episode, except for... 1) What's up with Bo-Trick reveal coming out of nowhere? Some sloppy writing there. 2) The costumes of that gang.. Seriously?!? They looked like really fake pirates
When kenzi was leaving the norn house and she bumped into the shelf and bottle fell. Some of it got on kenzi and the norn said that she has been given a gift. Does anyone else get the feeling that something will change into some sort of fae?
Well they were going to split Fred and Illeria into two separate entities if they didn't get cancelled so they (hopefully) do go the route of separate characters.
the fred/illyria case is quite conflicting actually since we have that statement and we have whedon saying an entirely opposite thing (that there's no fred), not to mention reaffirming it again and again that fred will never be back in comic book continuations.
Yeah, a lot of us are in fear that Kenzie will get "freded" by Lost Girl writers.
(freded/freding/to fred is a term that originated in Angel The Series fandom, when the writers of that show made the fan favorite character, Fred, get infected by a demonic entity, Illyria, having Fred, die in pain and then her body be used by that demonic entity as a vessel)
No, the spoiler (on least on this site) said she would be playing another character "In addition to Kenzi". Now if they'll be sharing the same body or not, who knows....
The plan was if never cancelled to split them, but when they got an early cancellation (about March time I think) they still had time go a different way. Now you're right about the comics, I like how the comics went (with fred sort of appearing whenever wesley was about), guess we'll never know what could have been.
Hot foreplay with the Morrigan (Bo really has her number) Lovely tension (and some lampshading) with Lauren, that whole 'you take my breath away' was a little bit out of left field there, but that's my only gripe with the episode.
You go Kenzi, rocking that chainsaw. I can only echo what others have said about fredding Kenzi. What is with ppl being confronted with something 'odd' (like going super-succubus on ppl's asses) or in Kenzi's case knocking over a vial of unknown goo, and having the Norn mention a gift; and not telling anyone about it. It could be you know...important?
Stop! Hammertime! Wahaha that striptease scene must be one of the funniest of the entire series. This is what most of the season should be like. And it's the reason I think the series should go back to like 15 episodes or so max. Rather have more quality than quantity.
Not really out of nowhere. Bo has been suspecting something since the episode where she enthralled Ryan. She's the one who asked Trick up front who he was to her (though she got it wrong at first).
If they know they have 22 episodes next season they can write that many episodes properly. This season they got an extension and thus had to fill out the season (which didn't go too bad but is sort of noticeable).
Well sure, there were little hints and questions all over the season. But I'm mainly talking about the lead up to this scene, it wasn't like episode 20 ended with Bo realising something, or a flashback sequence where Bo realised Trick was her father.
I can think of handful of things to do to make it more realistic and then I'm not even mentioning the fact they are in the middle of a war where BO is like: "Hey! Lets think about who my father is and ask the questions I could have asked 20 episodes ago!" And the scene itself! Seriously Bo? You are satisfied with the answers you got?
AHHHHHHHHHH OK will you all STOP IT.. i cant take it... reading what everyone thinks is driving me up the wall.... everyone's coming up with such great ideas of what they think is gonna happen in the next season.. come on i'm already on pins an needles as it is..
You know what? I think I agree with you after watching it again. I mean there was a build up of sorts, but the scene itself was random and you're totally right about that (I only thought you meant there was no hints about Trick being family, my mistake)..
I know I'm in the minority, but wasn't entirely pleased with this episode. The plot worked, the pacing was much improved, no bad fight scenes, and for the most part people acted normally. Yay!
Except, Bo is still living in crazy town (I'm mad that Trick has been lying to me ::smile smile::). They cram major story elements into a one-minute scene and then give us four minutes of tortured dancing. And the some of the lines were completely nonsensical. I love Kenzi, LOVE Kenzi. I love Kenzi wielding a chain saw. But if the Norn was that easy to kill, some desperate, lost-the-thing-most-important-to-me fae totally would have cut down the darn tree. It's not like all fae are that concerned about sticking to the rules, almost every COTW episode is about some fae breaking them. They have some rudimentary legal system and dungeons and stuff, fae don't always follow tradition. The Norn was supposed to be bada**, what happened? I'm not going to go off on Lauren--this was one of the few times she didn't bug me. I even liked the idea of her commiserating with Dyson, except the way EA wrote it made no sense. "You don't have to pretend with me." Seriously? Some random "humanity" themes? Because now fae are Vulcans. It's not like we've ever been that particular about language that we could make a distinction between fae-nature and humanity. The underfae dungeon dude went off on the trying to be "man" thing. Then, Kenzi spends the entire episode helping Dyson get his love back and then tells Bo to "go be with her girl." Am I the only one who remembers that Bo just killed Nadia? Lauren's still not sleeping from the trauma, but she's ready to move on with Bo? And finally the supersuccubus. I know that we're supposed to think the power-up stems from love and isn't that sweet, but it makes Bo into a power-crazed anarchist who wants to enslave the world. Not really the "love conquers all" message I'm looking for.
So, been thinking about how they might move forward, and after doing some research (consisting almost entirely of Buffy reruns) and I think we need to just spin off Dyson onto his own show. He can be cool again and we don't have to watch tortured never getting back together Bo/Dyson.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteyes we have dyson back all shipping aside i hope they keep his character this time. but it would be nice to have one bo and dyson scene.
ReplyDeleteOMG, what an amazing episode. Vex was great :) Bo/Morrigan scene was HOT 0_0
ReplyDeleteGive me the finale NOW !!
wow best episode ever
ReplyDeleteKnowing Bo/ Trick relationship - btw i guess it before!!
Bo/Morrigan sex scene!

Wow. And Emily Andras finally delivers!
ReplyDeleteOh gods, they totally are going to "Fred" Kenzi(those who have been around during Angel THe Series, know exactly what "fredding" someone means). :[
ReplyDeleteyep i guess that explains the Kenzi playing someone else in season 3 spoiler
ReplyDeleteI forgot about that spoiler, good point. Hopefully she plays two separate characters, not two in one body like Fred.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a poll like this, no one voted anything lower then OK 0_o
ReplyDeleteThat being said, I can see why, this episode was awesome! The Morigan/Bo scene... hot! I love Vex, so great to see him back, and potentially could stick around next season.
Well, to be fair. No one thought to bring Kenzi to the Norn or tell her the woman has a sacrid tree....
ReplyDeleteAs I recall, though, she's suppose to be playing two seperate characters.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to mention the whole Dyson/Kensi part. I loved it. Anyone who has read my comments over the last season will know I've been calling Dyson a douche a lot, and am thrilled to see him back to normal. ReplyDeleteActually from spoiler its basicaly NOT said that she will play both characters at once.
ReplyDeleteFor all we know she won't be well during premiere and well go into entirely different character, aka ATS "Hole in The World"...
The whole goo on her hand pretty much makes sure it will be in same body. Let's just hope that its truly TWO characters in one and not "one character in the dead body of the other's"...
ReplyDeleteI want Bo and Dyson back together. Dam kenzi why didn't she say what she did for dyson!
ReplyDeleteHA! And what a pity! :-)
ReplyDeleteDyson should have confide in her the first time he went to the Norn.Anyway, I love so much Kenzi! And I liked how, as the only human, she gets to have what she wants of a so powerful Fae, using a simple and human way, a chainsaw!I can't wait for seeing the amazing Kenzi in season 3!

Maybe she was letting him surprise Bo when he wants to.
ReplyDeleteNo, the spoiler (on least on this site) said she would be playing another character "In addition to Kenzi". Now if they'll be sharing the same body or not, who knows....
ReplyDeleteYes, the chainsaw has to be one of the top ten all-time Kenzi moments in the series!
ReplyDeleteThe plan was if never cancelled to split them, but when they got an early cancellation (about March time I think) they still had time go a different way.
