Another awesome episode. I like how they balance so many different storylines in one episode. Keeps things moving, and very interesting to me. Her flashbacks to the old house have been very effective, and that FBI agent messing with Kalinda only to get threatened to be pulled "out" got her to back off... That smarmy-ass council meeting thing...It was like the ultimate groupthink bull**** where they just let people say whatever they want, no contestation, no digging, and be sure to go with whichever decision is the safest one for racial implications... And then they wanted to go after her husband for practically the same thing! Hypocrites... Sheesh.
And I can't believe I have to wait over a week (probably longer) to see Alicia bitch out Jackie. That woman is a snake. O_O
Great episode! I loved how Kalinda handled Lana. The board stuff was great and hilarious, though I knew Howard would be name parter the second I saw him.... so it wasn't surprising, but it was still an enjoyable storyline, and Diane and Will/Diane rock my world! Also the case of the week was incredibly strong, and Alicia asserting herself in the panel was awesome. Girl can really hold her own. And Matthew/Mike was a brilliant foil.
On the personal stuff, the flashbacks were very nicely done. I thought they hit all the right notes, though I noticed we didn't see too much of Zach in the house. It was mostly memories that included Grace. ALSO my hate for Jackie knows no bounds. I swear sometimes I think the woman is geniunly evil!
I'm going to hold back my rant about having to wait to see it because basketball changed the sched--oh, right, okay. Well, I did finally watch it and loved it. Matthew does much better in drama, and should stick with it. There was a fleeting moment when Chandler popped out, but that's because we know him so well.
The episode was engrossing, and that scene where Alicia went to find Kalinda, Mr. Burke stopped her as Kalinda walked by, and that moment Alicia's phone rang with a call about the house--perfect dramatization of Alicia's, and the show's, nonstop multitasking.
Everybody's always playing tricks on everybody else. I totally understand Alicia's feeling disgusted by bureaucracy.
Jackie, Jackie, Jackie. I want to hear her story of why she wanted that house.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
