I loved it! Felt so bad for Angel. And I'm glad they delved into Morgan's past again. They haven't talked about the Carl Buford storyline in a long time. And the moment between him and JJ was sweet.
You know what was great about this episode? FINALLY they had one where they didn't START the episode with the unsub, and show everything from his point of view. FINALLY an episode where the BAU does what it does, and identifies and catches the unsub, with us along during the process. We don't see him until they know for sure who he is--just like in the glory days of the show. MORE OF THIS!
for me, hands down, one of the best episodes of this season. agree, that these episodes when the unsubs face at the start is not shown are better, it kind of alows me(as a viewer) picture the unsub. and i like when the team put pices together and figured it out.
There have been plenty of episodes this season where we haven't known the identity of the unsub until the end, and there has always been a good mix of early reveals and late reveals going all the way back to season 1. That's something that I really like about the show, that they mix their storytelling style, keeps it from being too formulaic and repetitive. Sometimes the audience knowing the unsub is better for the episode, sometimes being in the dark is better. It gives balance, and makes it unique from all the other procedurals on tv.
I think this is one of my favorite eps of the season. I loved the voice of caution with regard to the recovered memories. I loved everything about this episode.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
