  1. It was great! Whoa at Lucy waking up, and Rebecca and Doc figuring out the truth!

  2. Creepiest inmate since Kit Nelson.

Plus, Lucy opening her eyes is the eeriest shot of the show so far.

  4. Definitely a good build up for the finale.

  5. I really like the actor who played Webb Porter (Rami Malek), he was brilliant in The Pacific as Snafu and was quite good in this episode too!

    Past:
    - It was nice to get looks at some of our previous 63s! Sylvane, Cobb, Nelson and Petty.

    - The music therapy was nice, but it made me wonder if it is more a relaxation tool or hypnotic tool for Lucy and not directly part of her memory erasing process.

    - Fun seeing Tiller and the band jamming.

    - Interesting to find out Hauser went to Yale and was a philosophy major. That helps explain his interest in Eastern religions/ philosophies.

    Present:
    - I loved Doc trying to be stealthy and follow Hauser in Chinatown! XDNo one would ever notice a 300-pound kinky haired Latino there I'm sure. XD

    - Love Dr. Beauregard stuck in his ways back in the 60s attempting to deal with modern day web conferencing! XD

    - Really nice that the A-Team finally figured out Lucy was a 63, but that itself does not lead beyond their immediate circle. I want them to investigate more about who sent the 63s back and how... and why.

Despite great Malek's performance this episode was a bit slow to me. Maybe the lack of myth arc related flashbacks or maybe I am just growing tired of the case of the week format.... Looking forward to more answers coming in the finale.

  7.  "I may be in the minority, but Lucy opening her eyes at the end of the
episode was underwhelming for me. It is such an overused plot device in
recent years that it has lost its power for me in most cases."

Nah, i found myself hoping they would fade away without an answer or have her gasp softly or anything but the eyes snapping open.. and then BAM... sigh oh well, i pretty much enjoyed the rest of the episode.
it still feels slow alot of the time, like it's dragging it's feet to stall for... ?? i hope the season finale is just go go go go with MadDoc starting to see the big picture more..

a confrontation b/t Grandpappy and lil blondie could be satisfying or it could be predictable and short.. i just hope for some answers about the '63s agenda !

  8. Great critique, Darque, I agree with everything you said.

Maybe it's because I don't usually watch procedural cop shows, but I'm getting a bit tired of the 'inmate of the week' scenario myself.  It's just not believable anymore how quickly they figure things out and wrap up each case with a neat little bow.  I mean, how did they know that the name - oh so conveniently - etched into the violin belonged to their killer?  Was he really the only one who ever played the violin there?  And then in ten seconds flat there was only one possible red-headed victim left.  Women dye their hair on a whim nowadays, and Rebecca even said the DMV pix aren't that current.  Discounting all the blondes and brunettes right away didn't make sense.

I think the most interesting aspect for me was that once again the killer's MO got started by some kind of treatment he underwent in Alcatraz.  I'm really eager to find out how Lucy's 'making bad memories go away' ties in what happened to the 63s.

  9. My suspension of disbelief was tested this week... seriously!
In addition to the convenient name carved in the violin AKA destruction of government property by a federal inmate....- Madsen going to the crime scene that had been worked by the police and detectives already, but managing to spot a fingernail in shag carpet that was overlooked by a room full of cops policing the scene?- Soto and Madsen finding out Lucy is AWOL from the hospital and letting it go when Hauser says it's none of their business.- 50 year old video reels playing after being stored in a room with a window where they would be heated up and cooled off constantly not to mention humidity. - Why were the instruments in that room still when all the other prison artifacts were in the storage area in individual boxes?- Hauser or was shot in the gut 2 weeks ago stretches out and has the strength to grab a man jumping off the scaffolding? Really?- Speaking of that, Ok you have Porter in cuffs on the scaffolding... now what? You and Bex struggling climbing up there and now you have 150 pounds of cuffed dead weight to take down in addition? How?I'm sure there was more I'm forgetting. I must have rolled my eyes a dozen times as I watched the episode. After 2 weeks of quality myth arc movement this was a serious let down of an episode considering it is the prelude to the 2 part finale.

  10. I'm not sure it has a chance of renewal anyway, but I need at least some level of answer on the three major questions of the series. Why send them to 2012? Why make them disappear in 1963? Who is responsible?

  11. couldn't agree more...this was one of the least intriguing episodes so far in my opinion..the best part was them seeing her in the old (somehow still viewable) footage

  12. Finally caught up on the last few episodes and this one was probably the best yet, hope the finale next week continues the greatness this ep had. Webb Porter was a fascinating 63er of the week, Lucy is probably the character I am most interested in so I loved seeing her work her ways in the past and then finally wake in the present!
