They're doing an excellent job with the hair, make-up and costumes. She looks so much younger! Then again, Lana's acting chops play a huge part as well.
I'm just spitballing here but I'm guessing Regina warms up to Noah Bean's character and later on Snow is somehow inadvertently responsible for his death.
I think Regina is actually secretly with the stable boy and treats him like crap in public so no one suspects anything. But I think you may be right about the Snow part of the theory.
I keep thinking about Regina cutting her father's heart out...that came to mind because of how much he was in her corner here. Her mother is a piece of work but not as bad as many. Hmmm. There are a lot of answers promised for this ep. . Looking forward to it.
Sweet and caring and NORMAL regina of the flashbacks in contrast to ruthless twisted and loathing snowwhite regina at her worst in present storybrooke.
it really emphasizes that no one is born evil and we all are victims of circumstances of our lives. Also it shows nicely just from what road Snow was averted by falling in love with Charming.
Yep, I think that's it. Her mom looks at her with a snarky expression while Regina is humiliating the stable boy as if she knew there was something between them.
I think Regina's mom orchestrated the whole thing: killed stable boy and blamed Snow White so that Regina would want to be her stepmother to be able to make her life a living hell (and with stable boy dead, she would have lost her one true love and there would be no obstacle to marrying someone else). Regina's mother would get what she clearly wanted: a good marriage for her daughter with a king.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Aw, horse!
ReplyDeleteAnd wow, Regina's mom whose name I can't remember. You're horrible.
Intriguing!!!!
ReplyDeleteShe looks so young - and sweet!
ReplyDeleteNow we know where Regina gets her bitchiness from. Geez.
ReplyDeleteShe looks younger, but not really THAT much, so I wonder how long ago was it?

ReplyDeleteI need mini-Snow sneak¡¡¡
ReplyDeleteI think Lana made reference to 15 years.
ReplyDeleteIf Regina ends up being emotionally and physically abused by her mom I'm going to lose it.
ReplyDeleteLong enough for Snow to be about 12 in the fairy tale flashbacks.
ReplyDeleteWhat a mean bitch her mother was,no wonder she turned out the way she did..

ReplyDeleteYou could very well be right. If I had a parent who was that viciously critical I'd probably want to hide the relationship too.

ReplyDeleteI imagine she'll get worse as it's probably her that kills the stable boy.
ReplyDeleteThey did say before evil is not born but made.
ReplyDeleteOkay if that is true then what happened to her to make her that way?
ReplyDeleteI guess a critical mother either makes you act like her or crumple up in a ball like a I ended up. Either way, therapy is needed.
ReplyDeleteHer mother's bad attitude. Bad experiences.
ReplyDeleteAWESOME sneak peek! So cannot wait!
ReplyDeleteOh i'm not intending to start anything,i thought maybe i missed something about Regina and /or her mother.
ReplyDeleteJust as thought this episode is about contrasts.

Wow...I've only seen about a minute of Regina's mom and I already dislike her... >:(

Man, I hate it that we're going to have to wait three weeks after this ep for more OUAT goodness.
ReplyDeleteReally? The b-tchiness looked kinda genetic to me.
