No problem Andy. I had a lot of fun putting these together. I voted on some that I didn't recognize and I'm automatically cautious about voting cancel. haha. I don't want to cancel any of my shows. lol.

ReplyDeleteI hope that people don't just renew everything :( I looked at the numbers and while I did mostly renew shows on this list there were a couple that I cancelled.

3 of the shows were randomly selected. But I made sure to choose at least 2 immensely popular shows.

ReplyDeleteLOL I agree :) It is sometimes a dog eat dog world in TV and I am really interested to see how we do in terms of renewing/cancelling shows. If people don't just vote for renew I think that we'll see some fan favorites get cancelled

ReplyDeleteI voted to renew them all, but I did so because I thought these were all reasonable numbers for ABC.

ReplyDeleteThat's up to you to try to guess. The point of this is to remove the bias of the quality of the show and as a result base our decisions solely on the numbers. This gives us a better view of what it would be like to be the person making said decision (Or as the title goes "In The Hot Seat"). If you are able to figure it out please do not say which is which so that others can participate. And above all else have fun!

ReplyDeleteOh I agree :) and I did mostly renew all the shows too but I was talking in general about Brandon Rowe 's polls and so far we've seen only ABC shows. I think that it will be different for say the NBC which I'm afraid that going according to the numbers my current favorite TV show (Community) will be cancelled because it does lousy in the ratings.
ReplyDeleteAnd if most people just vote renew to all the shows from all the networks it will make the polls a waste of time in my opinion. I think that the whole point of these polls is to show that it isn't just down to fans ' wishes and desires but rather also down to the raw numbers of ratings among other considerations.

ReplyDelete3 renews and 2 cancels from me, but in all honesty I am only used to looking at the CW's ratings in detail. All of these shows look like a demo dream from a CW perspective. I do hope that I haven't voted to cancel Castle though. It's the only thing I watch weekly on ABC. Hopefully that will change with the start of Missing though.

ReplyDeleteA couple I watch regularly like Cougar Town and Revenge... but I'm not sure I would miss either despite enjoying both. I liked the premiere of GCB much more than expected, but do not see it making my Must Watch List.... The upcoming Missing will be on that list, but I have little fear of it being cancelled before all 10 episodes air.
I guess if your favorite show is on a network, vote for renew for all. That was a strange poll. Everyone of them had renew? ABC has no bad shows?

ReplyDeleteMy biggest call was show B, which I renewed, due to its average 5.44 in the 18-49. Will be interested to see what show C is, as it is the closest. At time of writing this, the polls are all for renewal though, and generally very much so. In reality though, such decisions would have other relevant data. For example cost of production etc.

ReplyDeleteI was bored of Castle halfway through Season 1 and I'm a Nathan Fillion fan.
ReplyDeletePart way into Season 2 I stopped watching regularly and i haven't watched an episode this year at all.It's fairly well done and fun for what it is, but I can almost never make it past 2 seasons of a procedural series since almost every episode is the same.
This is fun! I cancelled C and renewed all the others. I hope I didn't cancel my fav show.
