  2. it didnt air in Canada earlier before just now that it is moved to Sunday
Harry's Law is a wierd show because its total viewers numbers are great for NBC usually its #1 scripted show in total viewers
probably is most of its audience is over 50

  4.  But why do they consider 50 and over bad demo ratings? I was reading another article on spoiler for Harry's Law and Kathy Bates was pretty disgusted with them going on about age demographics...Not that i blame her, once you hit 50 they make you feel like you no longer exists,at least in the US.

  5. The desirable demo is 18-49 because those are the people who are working and have disposable income, they're also the people who are most willing to try and buy new things - all good for advertisers.  The 50+ demo is made in large part of people who are brand loyal, like things the way they are, don't try new things and aren't first adapters.  Now that isn't totally accelerate, but accurate enough that networks with shows aimed at the 18-49 demo tend to attract advertisers who are willing to spend money.

CBS, though, has been making a very good living on shows that are mostly aimed at 40+.  They are on the top of the ratings heap most days (unless American Idol is on Fox that part of the season), but even CBS keep looking for shows aimed at a younger crowd (e.g. Two Broke Girls, The Big Bang Theory).

I think with the Baby Boomers getting older and older, the advertisers need to rethink the idea that "older" means "not as good."

  6.  I should have said it was a rhetorical question, sorry i just re-read what i wrote and it does sound like i don't understand..Unfortunately i do understand and i am one of those baby boomers. I hope it changes for all the people approaching that age,it sucks, plain and simple..The worst part, the day and i mean T H E day you turn 50 you no longer exists in their eyes..And your right thank goodness for CBS!   :)
