Thanks to Ryan for the following.

Hey guys!

With Season 2 of Game of Thrones premiering this Sunday, we thought it would be cool to make this awesome interactive map for Westeros and Essos:

We are huge fans of the book series and show, and knew that other fans would love appreciate the map because it clears up a lot of the confusion that comes with such a complicated story.

    There is also an upcoming companion book to the series that will have fold out map of Westeros (but not the "known" world" map) if I recall. http://winteriscoming.net/2012/03/hbo-announces-official-game-of-thrones-companion-book/

    You're right there. I'm sure while the official map will show correct positions etc...
    the fan maps will be more detailed like the one you posted.
    In fact I seen a leaked Essos map a few days ago that now I can't find that came from HBO poland and it seemed like Essos was a lot closer to Westeros than I thought.

    Great idea. It's always better managing an interactive map in comparison to those in the books.
