Margo Martindale is readying a fallback plan in the event A Gifted Man fails to see a second season.

She’ll play the eldest sister, Joyce.

The pilot is in “second position” to Martindale’s current gig, CBS’ A Gifted Man, which airs its season finale this Friday and is considered a long-shot for renewal.

    I like A Gifted Man. Hope it gets renewed.

    Doesn't look too good for A Gifted Man. 

    I liked the show, and I do hope it gets a second season, but if it doesn't I won't be too surprised or sad.
