Jay Ryan, the Australian actor who was most recently seen on FOX's Terra Nova has been cast in the male lead role of The CW's Beauty and the Beast drama series, starring opposite Kristen Kreuk ("Smallville").

    Let's hope his acting has improved since his days on Australian TV because he'd have to improve a great deal for me to watch him in this show that I would normally count as a favourite even before it airs.

    this show is doomed to fail, but alot of CW pilots this year.. i think Arrow, beast is definatly gonner get picked up for series .. so dont be shocked if they pull the plug on ringer, nikita and i think supernatural (makes alot of money for WB, ie.. magazines, merchandise etc..) is 50 / 50
