Warning: If you have yet to watch Tuesday's season finale of White Collar, avert your eyes now! Everyone else, read on...]

White Collar‘s Season 3 finale finally delivered a verdict on Neal’s fate, and it did not go as expected.

Rather than being set free or having to complete his sentence with the FBI, Neal’s future took a third route: He cut his anklet and fled after getting the nod to do so from Peter, who had just learned of Kramer’s plans to keep Neal working for him, in D.C., for the rest of his life.

Where is the con man headed? What happens to Peter’s career now that he’s sacrificed the law to keep his C.I./pal out of his mentor’s hands? And is that trip to Roosevelt Island just the tip of the iceberg in uncovering the real Neal Caffrey? TVLine went to creator Jeff Eastin to gets answers.

  1. So excited for season 4! It sounds pretty awesome. Really can't wait to learn about Neal's family. That should be interesting.

  2. seems like a lot of soul searching is going to happen in season 4, i like the focus on the people more then the job.  Real human emotion drives the drama cant wait.

  3. I'm all for seeing Alex again, but I really want to know about Neal's family.  I'm still guessing that his dad is in Witness Protection just like E. Parker is.  I'm also really curious as to what happens to Peter and Diana after they sabotaged their careers for Neal.

  5. I'm very interested to see where the whole search for Neal's family takes us! Those are questions I've been waiting to have answered since we learned his Dad was a dirty cop. I'm also fascinated to see how this new twist will affect Peter and Neal's relationship (and how happy would I be to see that getting stronger), and how it will affect Peter's standing at the bureau, cos I can't imagine they'll be happy about his collaboration with Neal. Can't say I'd be thrilled to see Alex again, as she never did much for me (and I've actually come to prefer Sara a lot more), but it wouldn't spoil my enjoyment of the show. :-)

  6. The thing I'm getting about S4 is that it will break formula for a bit... I'm looking forward to see how the handle it.
