Read the article at Deadline to the answer about why there are no early renewals.

  1. Hurry up and renew these shows already! I don't want to wait until May.

  2. Well I know early renewals for CW don't happen til mid-late April. Last year they didn't renew  VD & SPN (their two best rated shows. Well Smallville was the 2nd best but it was the final season) till April 27th.

But maybe the new boss is different.

  3. I'm pretty relaxed about my shows. True Blood, Walking Dead, Psych, Family Guy and White Collar already got renewed, I only wait to see the fate of my beloved SPN, and right now the odds are pretty high :)

  4. Fringe wasn't picked up till Mid March, I hope we get renewals soon, the wait till May just seems cruel

  5. Not really worried about any of my most favourite shows this year :)

  7. Actually, The CW should wait for the pilots until making a desision. Mainly because only TVD, SPN and maybe TSC are safe right now while the other shows may crash in a matter of weeks.

  8. it is rather odd we havent had any early renewals...i guess the networks want to make us sweat.

  9. It's been a weird season so I can see why they're stalling...

  10.  I thought TSC was in trouble?

  11. The CW has bumped all over the place for renewal announcements.  Supernatural has been renewed as early as February up to late April.  Still, I'm hoping we get notice in March.  If they wait until they can place their entire line-up we won't hear anything until May.

  12. There's trouble and TROUBLE.  Right now TSC is in trouble.  If it plateaus at the 0.7 demo then it will be renewed.  If it continues to decrease in the spring months then all bets are off.  Normally I'd say that the CW would renew at least one pilot in a mercy save.  (See Nikita last year.)  However, none of these shows are on Pedowitz's head.  They can all be traced back to Dawn Ostroff so he may not have an incentive to save any of them if they tank.

  13. All I care about is Supernatural since White Collar, Leverage, and Burn Notice are already renewed.  I watch other shows but nothing I couldn't live without.

  14.  Almost all of the CW shows are in trouble.  Every scripted program except for 2 are on the bubble.

The Vampire Diaries is a lock.  Gossip Girl is also safe because, despite its atrocious ratings, The CW is determined to give it a final season.

The rest are as follows (from best renewal possibility to worst)

1.) Supernatural.  It's not a lock but renewal is a reasonable assumption.
2.)  Secret Circle.  It's the best performing new show (which isn't a compliment) but the ratings aren't that good, the show is mediocre, and The CW has pulled TSC repeats which isn't a sign of faith.
3.)  90210.  Seems to pull a .7 with some consistency which puts it ahead of the other bottom feeders.
T-5.)  Nikita.  Mediocre CW ratings for a Friday but I think it's a bit more
costly than other CW shows and it doesn't have much buzz left from S1.
T-5.)  Hart of Dixie.  A .6 is usually the best it can muster from week to week but its lead-in (Gossip Girl) is a ratings black hole.
6.)  Ringer.  It's probably dead.  That makes me sad because it's better than HoD, TSC, and 90210.

(One Tree Hill not included.  It's in its final season.)

If I were a betting man, I'd say that renewals will be
    Supernatural
    Secret Circle
    90210

    Hart of Dixie (50/50 chance)

    Cancellations will be...
    Nikita
    Ringer

My one caveat is that if The CW gives Nikita a final season to wrap things up, which the series could easily do, there's no way Hart of Dixie gets a renewal.

  15. Yeah, I thinking about the pulling the repeats in favor of SPN. Should have been more specific, just that I thought they weren't a lock. Sorry!

  16. I think you're right, although I hope Ringer gets a second season by some bizarre twist of fate. I wish people would get past the terrible low-budget pilot and give it a try... Baf!
Oh, and hey I have to send you that HoL email. Just been a bit busy. I'm getting my wisdom teeth yanked out in a day so I'll have plenty of time to send it then. Maybe I'll even watch it again so I have something insightful to say- but that kind of seems like a poor use of general anaesthetic and painkiller buzz.

  17.  I agree.  I'd definitely spring for something better than HoL to watch on an oral surgeon-sanctioned buzz.

  18. Hahaha... Any suggestions? I'm completely out of tv to watch. (long story) and can't seem to find any new shows to add to my list that have really grabbed my attention. As a rule, I'm not a big sci-fi fan, and musicals are not my thing... But apart from that I'm pretty open.

That said, who knows, maybe HoL will dramatically improve with a couple of post-surgical narcotics in my system. (Btw I haven't lost hope in the show actually. I need a re-watch of the last two eps to definitively state one way or the other, but I recall seeing some promise)

  19.  Under such an influence usually any light drama or anything funny will do.  Anything too complex or expository isn't the best idea.

Shameless, Always Sunny, Community, Archer (if animation is okay), Castle if you're looking for a light, fluffy drama, any old season of Dexter would do nicely also.  Justified would also be a good choice for Drama.

  20. Grrr I hate waiting.  The same with last year with CBS it took them a day before the upfronts to announce that Five-0 got a S2 even though we knew it was going to happen.

It's ridiculous must be due to money problems for all networks
