On RoamersandLurkers (the biggest Walking Dead forum), there's this member who claims that he's part of the production team. He's leaked spoilers for the second half of the season, including Shane's fate. Of course we all have to take this with a grain of salt, but I thought it was interesting to get it out to you guys
DON'T READ FURTHER IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS!
Nebraska is an awesome episode, most likely one of the best, has nothing to do with Nebraska. Hershel goes into town to a bar to drown his sorrows with alcohol, Rick and Glenn go after him. They find him drinking long story short, 2 guys walk in out of nowhere and essentially fake being nice all along wanting to know where they are staying so they can go raid and rape etc. Rick pretty much goes cowboy on em and kills em both. Hershel has a new found admiration for him after this.
Anyway after awhile a bunch of people come looking for their friends and finally find out and there is a fire fight between Rick's people and the others, many of them.
Almost forgot, "Nebraska" is mentioned in their conversation, they tell Rick that maybe Nebraska is a good place to go and after some verbal sparring Rick essentially tells them to !@#$ OFF to Nebraska.
--
Shane does not make it through the season, essentially Lori puts into his head that if Rick wasn't around they would still be together. This makes Shane change AGAIN, (he had finally made peace and Lori fucked him up again). Anyway he decides to kill Rick and lures him into the forest chasing after someone you will meet in "Nebraska". Of course Rick isn't stupid he realizes nothing is adding up and tries to give Shane a chance to abandon his plans. Believe it or not Rick loves Shane like a brother, anyway he finally calls Shane on it and Shane basically tells him how Carl and Lori will get over his death. Shane has a gun pointed at Ricks face and seconds away from shooting, when Rick starts to negotiate his way out of it, all along pulling a knife out. Long story short he lunges at Shane and buries the knife in his chest.
Even worse HERES A BIG SPOILER.
SHANE COME'S BACK TO LIFE AS A ZOMBIE! - Carl shoots him, the whole thing is pretty fucked up.
All this causes Rick to slowly change into a Shane if you will, believe me the show is going somewhere so crazy that Shane's death will not even be a burden, he served his purpose by helping Ricks character transform.
I assumed Carl would kill him to protect his dad. I thought Shane teaching Carl how to shoot a gun was foreshadowing for the ironic twist to come.... I did not imagine Shane becoming a walker though.
That's interesting if Shane was healthy and comes back undead! It changes the entire way we need to look at the walkers and how one becomes a walker.
If it is just ANY death it becomes a much larger issue than a virus-based Zombie-Apocalypse.... It means that death has changed. people are not allowed to die with any finality. Something more supernatural would seem to be at play if souls cannot pass on (if you believe in souls). or death now leads to undeath.
Honestly this just sounds like this person has read the comics & is taking tidbits from them & matching them up with a few sneak peeks that have been floating around to make his claims more believeable. I have read the comics (the show is a million times better) & some of what this guy is claiming sounds like it's been taken from those pages, though anyone who both reads the comics/watches the show knows by now that they aren't following the comics verbatum. Anyway, some of it sounds credible & some of it not so much, guess we'll just have to wait & see.
I was just reading the thread over at the source. It seems this guys is legit. He sent some video of the scenes to a couple of the regulars at that forum and they have now confirmed this
I'm scared to read these spoilers so not gonna do it but...
As I understand it, in the books, any death does in fact lead to zombie-fication.
And if that is the case, I don't think it necessarily means something supernatural is going on. I still see it has a virus actually. And if I am recalling correctly, Jenner explains to the group about how the disease affects the brain. I've also been thinking that the thing he whispered to Rick has something to do about how any death with result in zombie resurrection.
Good point... and I chose the wrong word.... It still could be and probably is a situation created by man. Unnatural maybe is a better word.... If healthy people die and change either the nature of death has changed or everyone is already infected. Well, maybe almost everyone... some could be immune.
Like those not breathing on their own when the initial virus spread.... It still seems odd though. It would need to be HIGHLY contagious for it to spread over an entire population.
Yeah, it's all a but murky. And I don't think it's anything they're ever going to address in any really significant way. I think they've come out and said they wouldn't be doing that, in fact.
Ugh, I'm so mad that I read this now. I mean, like really pissed off at myself. But in any case, I think it aligns with this http://www.spoilertv.com/2012/01/walking-dead-episode-21112-and-13.html
I assume this means they're going to do what the comics did, and say everyone is infected, but only turns when they die. Would also mean the Walkers bite kills because of disease, not because they're turning.
Mostly the same way. He had a lot less story, and it ended him and Rick had a confrontation in the woods when he drew a gun on Rick and said that things were better off before he came back ("things" meaning Shane and Lori). The difference here is that Carl shoots Shane first, and it wasn't until much later that they realize that everyone is infected, so as soon as Rick finds out he rides all the way back to the grave site to dig him up, have one last talk and finish him off.
I can't help but remember when the mid-season finale beening leaked, very detailed. They seem to have a problem with someone leaking details. I can't see why they would want this level of detail leaked. I wonder if whoever is leaking this stuff is loyal to Darabont??
If you don't like big spoilers than stop reading....
There was a article that suggested that John Bernthal (aka Shane) would be the lead in L.A Noir and would most likely leaving the walking dead.http://www.avclub.com/articles/variety-may-have-just-spoiled-the-walking-dead-for,68114/ I do wonder if Shane was person who was loyal to Darabont and was quitting the show.
Guys, I'm not sure if you know this or not, but this guy proved his credibility this morning by uploading a private video on YouTube that was a scene from Episode 12 (moments before the *ultimate spoiler* happens). I didn't see it myself, but a few RoamersandLurkers members did.
I was also pretty sure Carl would shoot Shane trying to save Rick. It happened like that in the comics. But the coming back from the dead even though not being injured by a zombie was part of the comics. Everyone is infected, I suppose Jenner's message to Rick was related to that.
I have to LOL at those who come to a spoiler site and wish they hadn't seen spoilers.
Anyhow, I saw the thread at R&L and it was confirmed as legit to some extent (video clips). The OP is supposedly an AMC employee.
The big reveal is that at some point (not necessarily Nebraska) Shane will be stabbed in the heart by Rick, after which he will turn and be put down by Carl.
The Nebraska episode will mainly deal with a fight with human marauders (thugs, whatever), that show up in the bar where Rick and Glenn are talking to Hershal. It seems the death of Shane is at least a couple of episodes later
i dont know if i quite belive this...it would be better if they had a video spoiler. and even then they can be faked. i would like to believe that this is in the first episode, but ....if it isnt then i wont be dissapointed. i love the walking dead but i hate how long it takes for new seasons to come out, what was it a year? in oct. and they couldnt even get it on halloween like the year before! new hit shows usually have new seasons every tv. season to come. they always end with a cliff hanger and i have seen many shows i have really liked never come back on after they put that cliff hanger on the end, this is why i wish they wouldnt wait a year for every new season, cause you dont know if its coming back with a new season or not. they did this with jerico which was a good show, kyle xy was the same thing and it was a good show too. there are many others where they have done this to good shows. wish i would tak to the director and whoever decides when each season would come out. i think if they cancel the show we should all sign a petition to have them keep it on! would hate to see a show as good as twd taken off the air between seasons! good luck and i hope the walking dead stays on til the story is done! they kept charmed, angel and buffy on til the end and most of them sucked with the way they ended, i watched charmed the whole time from season one to the end and was pissed at the way the ended it but at least they ended it for good with an ending that fit..even tho it was fucked up! and angel and buffy werent even that good of a show but they kept them on forever and ended them like they were supposed to end! good luck from a die hard fan!!! thanks for the spoiler alert, it wont surprise me weather the spoiler is true or not but it was fun to read!!
Well it looks like SinjaNinja aka DeadLegion (that is what he is going by now) is a true blue legit source as all his Nebraska spoilers came true and with the new promo for TriggerFinger his spoiler of the second fire-fight is dead on as well.
Be interesting to see what he posts next as he has now opened his own board at http://spoilthedead.proboards.com/index.cgi and has promised detailed spoilers on each additional episode before the come out.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Oh my god...
ReplyDeleteShane turns in to zombie in Nebraska episode?
I like how he dies better in the comic book
ReplyDeleteHard for me to believe...but I suppose this could happen.
ReplyDeleteIf this is true, this is very similar to the comics just postponed by a bit. Not too surprised.
ReplyDeleteI assumed Carl would kill him to protect his dad. I thought Shane teaching Carl how to shoot a gun was foreshadowing for the ironic twist to come.... I did not imagine Shane becoming a walker though.

ReplyDeleteI'm avoiding these! I don't want to be spoiled just in case.

So I am betting it all true..
Nope not going to spoil it with spoilers.
ReplyDeleteWHAT. I DO NOT WANT SHANE TO DIE
ReplyDeleteNah I don't buy it, not for the episode Nebraska at least, maybe by the end of this season perhaps
ReplyDeleteWhile I appreciate big spoilers, and these are very significant (if true), this guy should be fired.
ReplyDeleteGuys, I'm not sure if you know this or not, but this guy proved his credibility this morning by uploading a private video on YouTube that was a scene from Episode 12 (moments before the *ultimate spoiler* happens). I didn't see it myself, but a few RoamersandLurkers members did.
ReplyDeleteno, the guy sent videos to some members and they verified it.
ReplyDeleteThis guy's right, he posted a video to some members and well there ya go.
ReplyDeletewell it happesn

ReplyDeleteMakes sense and very close to the comic.
ReplyDeleteI have to LOL at those who come to a spoiler site and wish they hadn't seen spoilers.

ReplyDeleteNormally yes, but if they were threatening Herschel's life and Rick saves him theb, yes he'd be more appreciative.
ReplyDeleteSent on the go!
It's legit, the thread was deleted but the guy verified with several members. No videos being posted.
ReplyDeletePretty sure it has been revealed that The actor that plays Dale is the guy who said he was quitting out of loyalty to Darabont..
ReplyDeleteI heard he reconsidered and told the new people he would stay, but it was too late. Based on this, Dale's demise is expected by the end of this season
i know how he dies. i just much prefer carl shooting him. it developed his character alot. i like comic book carl better than tv carl
ReplyDeleteWell it looks like SinjaNinja aka DeadLegion (that is what he is going
