He may just be the creepiest member of True Blood’s Vampire Authority -- because he looks harmless, but is quite the opposite.
The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Jacob Hopkins has landed the recurring role as the final member of True Blood’s highest vampire governing body, the Vampire Authority.
Hopkins plays Alexander Drew, one of the Authority's chancellors who was turned to darkness at the age of 9-years-old. Alexander is described as an impetuous vamp who likes to taunt those around him.
He joins SVU star Cristopher Meloni, Spartacus actor Peter Mensah, and General Hospital and Cougar Town actress Carolyn Hennesy on the Authority.

Sounds interesting, but you need a really good child actor to pull something like this off.
ReplyDeleteInteresting and there is not many things creepier than an evil child, should be fun.
ReplyDeleteHe must be a mean mother....
ReplyDeleteAnother recurring role? At least this one actually makes sense - it's a character we've at least known about for a while.
ReplyDeletea child vimpire very creap & authority powers more
ReplyDeleteChild Vamp is going to be scary, remember Kirsten Dunst in Interview with a Vampire!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't let my child act on a show that I wouldn't let them watch at such a young age but whatever, I am so not interested in Vampire Authority. This show will never get back on track and it is annoying as hell to constantly have new characters that have nothing to do with true Sookieverse, someone please knock some sense into Alan Ball's head.
ReplyDeleteIf we ever get casting news that some regulars are being killed off I would be much more interested. Too many non-Sookie cast members around that add nothing pertinent to the main season arc.
ReplyDeleteLoved the books, loved the first season that was like the books, and the rest have been very hit or miss.
I do enjoy a creepy Vampire child so this could work but the show has a lot of flaws that neither S3 or S4 attempted to fix
ReplyDeleteThat's a really eclectic group of people for the Authority. Out of all of these castings, I'm probably looking forward to seeing Carolyn Hennesy the most.
ReplyDeleteI hope the kid has the skills to pull that off. I love a good creepy child! Like the girl who played the demon Lillith in Supernatural. She was cold...
ReplyDeletethis doesn't bode well for peter's spartacus character oenamaus, does it?
