I don't understand what this promo is telling me, but I can't wait for it! Misha looks great in something that isn't a trenchoat. And poor Crazy!Sam being institutionalized.
I couldn't agree more. 3 /weeks/. ARG! Though mannnnn, Cas just doesn't look like /Cas/ without his trenchcoat!! That's going to take some getting used to! He looks so... /off/ too. Aaaarg
That's what I'm not understanding.. Plus, he's supposed to be in a mental institute or something like that I thought. (I mean, the promo picture sort of suggested it). So .. what he's doing outside in a jacket (OMG I miss the trench coat already, just because it was so /cas/). I think this promo isn't for episode 16, but as sort of a teaser for the rest of the season, what to expect when we come back from hellatus take 3 or 4...
That's what it looks like to me too. Recognized Dean's jacket and the woman next to him has the right dark hair and height to be Meg. She is supposed to be in the episode with Cas. I wonder what she's up too and why Dean isn't trying to kill her in the scene. :P
Could be. She always finds a way not to allow them to kill her. She's the demon who somehow always gets away (only one who has survived the series...hell, she survived Bobby!). Last time it was because she helped them they didn't kill her so it'll probably be like that this time too I figure.
Why do we have another multi-week break. I like the atmosphere elements of this teaser...and I wouldn't call it a promo so much as a teaser. They're trying to set up the creepy...something I almost never get from a supernatural ep.
Interesting promo but when Sam is going through what he is Cas should not of been anywhere near the episodes. So little focus on Sams pain all season then when they do get round to showing us Cas returns and Dean will be soul searching. I want to get all up for this but Castiel returning has put a dampner on it for me when Sam is going through so much.
I was wondering the same - but maybe the promo pic they released was just a red herring? Misha loves to get up to some crazy antics, and I wouldn't put it past him to dress in the mental institution costumes and take pictures.. it also could just tease what's to come in general after the break, I suppose.
IDK whats gonna happen, but I want it to be three weeks from now already. As soon as last nights episode ended, I totally remembered it was going on a small hiatus and after the promo, I was even more frustrated.
Has someone else heard the rumor that The CW is postponing Out With The Old another week, so that'll air on March 16? Please tell this is incorrect. Three week wait is too long as it is.
At least they're not telling that one before like the other time...and since the finale will air at mid-may, we'll have to wait that extra week one anyway, if we wait that week before the 16th episode or somewhere after, its the same thing^^;
For me, nobody has to agree,I'm starting to getting tired of 2-3 eps + hellatus, 2-3 eps +hellatus, if we wait just one other week in the same hellatus, and that give us more back to back episode or a shorter time off later, its fine with me
IA and I hope "Cas" doesn't get "redemption points" by insta-healing Sam. For the umpteenth time, I *hope* SG/RS are true to their word that Sam's mental damage is permanent although manageable and that DEAN would help Sam, not any version of Castiel.
The promo on Friday said March 9 though. And they wouldn't delay it during the March sweepstakes. No, he must have meant episode 17 (episode with Cas) will air March 16. We're only going on the 16th episode.
so so so so so excited for Sam being committed..yeahhh so so so so so excited for Dean and the kick ass hunter returning...yeahhh so so so so so meh about the return of Cas...... and wtf????..we have to wait four weeks.grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr CW
I guess they just did the promo before they changed the date. Its not 'cause they wrote ''january 28th'' last year that it stopped them to change the date the day before

God no! I hope Sam damage aren't permanent. I do not want him with Lucifer in his head until the end of the show :-/ I want Sam healthy and happy again.
Cas doesn't need Sam to get "redemption point". As a matter of fact, he doesn't need redemption point. He made a mistake, recognise ir and paid for it. That's enough

My issue is why are there no websites I can find saying this? And what about March sweep? We always have new episodes in March. And it's not normally so late. It doesn't make a lick of sense. :( CW can go to hell. lol
Well I am sorry about that but I dont care. Sam is more important than Cas and I will repeat it Castiel should not of been any where near these episodes . Later maybe but not these.
I agree. Cas just ruins the show and steals focus from the brotherhood. He's sooo annoying. His story has LONG been over and it's ridiculous they're bringing him back. Team Freewill is dead and now Team Winchester is back as it should be and people should just get over it already. Cas fans have been soo spoiled. They're fortunate the writers like Cas more than Sam.
Normally we have those episodes sooner :) If we have 3 back to back again, we'll have the 18th episode around the end of march...but we had Point of no return April 15th and Frontierland (the 2 last ''episode 18) at mid-april too
We're not later this year, sooner :) it jsut instead of having a 2 motnhs break in the winter and 1 1/2 month break in the spring, we have many little hellatus
I rather have mini breaks than this. A whole month isn't a little hellatus. Most other channels are only going off for 2 weeks. I don't mind that. A month is a major ouchie.
I'm having a hard time deciding which kind of break I prefer^^; having 2-3 weeks, 2-3 episodes, 2-3 weeks..etc, I find it a bit annoying and now I'm tempting to say ''Its better a 2 months break'' but when we have 2 months break I'm saying Its better little break :P I have the same feeling than with the winter/summer stuff, when its -30 outside I'm saying I'll never complain about the heat, and when its summer I'm saying again I'll never complain again about the cold :P I kind of have the same feeling about 2-3 long break v.s 10 short break
But anyway, the only thing I was saying is you said ''And it's not normally so late'' while this year we have a lot of episodes sooner than the others years. Is it better or not? Depend on the people...or its the heat v.s cold debate :P
Castiel caused the damage to Sam and I certainly hope that he is not going to be the one who fixes it, because that would be adding salt to the wound.
It should be something that the brothers should face and overcome together; the last thing that was needed was a reset button for Castiel, especially now, as we are going to explore Sam's problems.
I can't wait until the next weeks are over. Having Misha back on the show - as Cas or whatever will be left of him or whomever Misha will be playing - is so amazing. I can hardly wait!
As for the show, I'd rather have a longer break at December/January. Episode 11 isn't usually that interesting anyways. The only reason this year's episode 11 was nerve racking was hoping beyond hope Bobby wasn't dead. But he was. :(
The episode story itself was something I could easily have waited for.
I just feel like a break now, when things were just starting to get interesting, is much more annoying.
Spoiled really? with only 4 episodes this season in total, after they completely messed up the character last season?... ummm okay...
I find it ridiculous people saying that a story of a character is over, it clearly isn't since he's back and he has unresolved issues. The winchester story was also supposed to be over on season 5, but here we're. A story is not over unless the writers decide it to be...
Anyways, I'm super excited to have team free will back, so to each their own. Though we also need Bobby even if it's just one little appearance again for team free will to be complete!
He did acknowledege what he did in the premiere and apologized for it to Dean, I hope he does it to Sam directly now though. If the writers are going to redeem him, I can't think of a better moment for him to come back. He put the wall down, taking away the protection from all the damage and trauma from hell, so he SHOULD be there, at least, to help Dean save his brother and that's what Robert Singer hinted on his interview. So I don't see how that should make anyone upset or think that it'll take focus away from Sam, when he's probably the reason why they're bringing him at this particular moment in the first place.
Aaaaaah can't wait to have Cas back! Such a long time without him has made me love him even more! Anfd I'm really intrigued to see what the writers have come up with :D
But gaaaaaahhhhh my poor Sammy! I'm not sure if I'm gonna be able to see the poor baby so broken, I hope that after episode 17, he finds a way to keep the hallutination under control again, at least... I don't think I can't take seeing him suffer like that for more than 2 eps T___T And I'm not even gonna mention how much my heart will break for Dean, between what's going on with Sam and finding out that Cas is alive, only to discover that apparently he doesn't even remember him... duh, poor guy, he can't get a break!
Anyway, maybe it's good to have a break so we can all get mentally prepared for what's to come... or not... aaaah I want to watch it NOW!
Spoiled as in he's been around a LOT longer than he should have. He was suppossed to be killed off in season 6, and was brought back in season 7, and now is being brought back again. The story is NOT about Cas plain and simple and yet fans act as though he's one of the Winchesters. No character but Sam and Dean is safe on this show. And I don't think it will be Team Free will, the spoilers seem to indicate Cas will be very different. Not that Cas deserves to be after what he did to Sam. Why does no one seem to care what Cas did to the brothers???
Frankly, I think the best thing for Cas would've been if they'd kept him dead after Lucifer killed him in Swan Song. The character just isn't the same ever since. Yes, I would've missed him like crazy, I loved the season 4&5 Cas, but enough is enough. I do agree, though, that the way his storyline ended at the beginning of this season wasn't exactly the way I wanted to see Cas go. So if they bring him to let him say a proper goodbye - I guess I'm fine with it.
A lot longer? oh yeah 4 episodes, in which only in 5 secs was really himself like WOW...i feel so spoiled it's not even funny...
Look, i can only talk for myself, but i DO care about what he did wrong to the boys but i also DO care about the character because he certainly earned it for all the good he did for the boys too and because i'm capable to understand his bad choices too (not defending them, that's a different thing entirely). Everyone can make mistakes, and i think even if Cas did, his intentions were never evil and he wanted to make up for what he did. Sorry but i think that he should be given the chance and i should definately make for a good story. And hell, just for Dean's sake, i want him back... so he can work his issues and you know get something good here and there.
I suppose you say that he was supposed to die in the S6 finale because of that comment of Misha about the writers initial plan for S6... well, honnestly, things are never set in stone and as a writer you may come up with new ideas or yes, you have to take in account what's working and what's not with your audience, because you simply don't write for yourself. As for episode 7.02, i know some Cas fans freaked out understandably when they saw such a lame "death"... but really just how lame it was and Sera's comments right after the episode made it clear that he would be back, once they have had their fun screwing with the winchester little world.
i'm really sad to see that there's some people in this fandom very little appretiative of a supporting group of characters because imo that really enrichs the show. There just limited drama you can do with Sam and Dean only beforr you have to come up with Amy stupid plots. i'd be all for new characters too, not just bringing Cas back o Bobby... but i'm really finding it way too difficult to care about new people anymore and that's a pity.
Anyway, i don't think Cas is the show but he's and has been a huge part of it, along with other characters. And you like it or not, he became family for the winchesters, and it was Dean himself who said so, anyone is allowed to care about him, miss him and to hope for a good story for him. And that has nothing to do with wanting the focus away from the brothers or whatever, cuz i LOVE the whinchesters and their dynamic, but i love it even more when their world doesn't seem so suffocating and depressing becausd they have NOONE and when they're allowed to share other dynamics that are meaningful too. Sam and Dean should always (and imo have always been) the center but that doesn't mean they have to be the only characters in there.
Replying to sharonally:yes, it's all Cas fault: if Cas hadn't rescued Sam from the pit, none of this would have happened.Sam would still be Lucifer pet, but hell, better that than to acknowledge that the "awful angel who stole Sam screen-time" rescued Sam and tried to save humanity again, right?I get you don't love Cas, yes, I got it. But for me and not-a-minority of others fans, Sam and Cas healing are linked. I think it's also an obvious choice from a scriptwriting point of view.
Toi do what? quick fix Sam that would be a crappy way for the writers to go and poor writing . They might as well have Castiel do that in the premiere . I want them to deal with Sams story not use it to get instant redemption for this character .
Yes, that would make Castiel look like the hero who righted the wrong he had done, and make Sam look weak because without Castiel's help he would remain insane; which would be so unfair when you think of the fact that Sam endured 180 of torture at the hands of a very pissed off Lucifer, and even when his wall did come down he still managed to do his job. So I would say Sam is anything but weak!
Dean was Sam's stone number one and I hope they continue down that road, helping each other to overcome their difficulties.
But Cas did not save Sam from the pit. He only got Sam's body, and when push came to shove, he disapproved of Dean who wanted to save Sam's soul too. He rather wanted to let Sam's soul rot for eternity than to finally give peace to what was left of Sam's soul.
oh yeah... it would be so wrong to let Cas fix his mistakes right? Only Sam and Dean are allowed to do that apparently...yeesh, people. First off, even if Cas manage to know how to put the wall back on (which i don't think it's gonna be that easy with the memory loss and we don't even know if he has all his powers intact, so...) the danger of going nuts is still there, Death said the wall was a temporary solution not something permanent. So it wouldn't really mean that Sam is safe and sound forever. Much to my dismay cuz i honnestly think they've dragged out the whole thing a lot, even if i'm interested to see how it plays out in the next episodes, i want Sam to be more or less functional after these couple of episodes of breaking him. i do agree that i would prefer something different that an instant fix that includes Cas helping somehow, but let's see what they do before judging.
Also, Sam weak??? seriously? i don't see how even if Cas fixes him, he would look weak ith how he managed to keep the hallutinations at bay the whole season like we saw on ep.15. No offense, but that's a totally stupid thing to think about Sam, lol.
He did go to save Sam, and not because he was told to, but because he thought it was the right thing to do. Problem is, he was not stromg enough and he couldn't save all of Sam and when he realized that he's soul was in the pit,he thought it was too late to save it because it would kil what what's left of Sam or worst. That's why he was mad at Dean for putting the soul back on, because he felt guilty that he hadn't realized he had screwed up when he saved him before and now it could cause Sam's life. Still doesn't change the fact that he went to hell again to save Sam and that if he hadn't all of Sam would still be in hell.
Off course, i think it was wrong of him to simply not come clean as soon as he rescued Sam that it was him who did it, i never really understood why he didn't other than for the writers to play with that mystery, but whatever. As yellowbird said, it still doesn't change the fact that he's the one who tried to rescue him from hell and not the one who tortured him and created all the damage in the first place, as some people seem to make it out to be. He's also guilty of taking away the protection against that damage (and for what i want Cas to help Sam now), but again he's not responsible for the damage itself. he could pretty well not had move a finger to save him and just let him root in hell, until maybe Dean managed to get Death to rescue him more than a year later and the result would have been the same. Sorry, i'm upset with Cas about several things, but trying to rescue Sam from hell even if he failed? that's definately not one of them.
It's fine if you like Cas. I'm personally tired of him. He tends to steal the focus from the brothers. He doesn't feel like a supporting character anymore and that is what is so troublesome to me. There are plenty of supporting characters, the guest stars serve that purpose. I'm not against the idea of supporting characters that's ridiculous. I'm just tired of THIS ONE. I'm annoyed of Cas always being showcased in front of the brothers. He shouldn't be upstaging the leads. There have been plenty of episiodes where Cas does all the talking and the boys are just standing there in the background. That is my issue with the character.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I don't understand what this promo is telling me, but I can't wait for it! Misha looks great in something that isn't a trenchoat. And poor Crazy!Sam being institutionalized.
ReplyDeleteRiiiiight...Any more ideas of how to kill me?????3 FRIGGIN WEEKS???????MISHA?CAS??JIMMY???SAMMYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSAMMY! has facial hair??! Something is seriously wrong! They even let him have a razor when he was detoxing from demon blood!!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more. 3 /weeks/. ARG! Though mannnnn, Cas just doesn't look like /Cas/ without his trenchcoat!! That's going to take some getting used to! He looks so... /off/ too. Aaaarg

ReplyDeleteCaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas !!! But I thought he was supposed to come back in episode 7x17 ??
ReplyDeleteThat's what I'm not understanding.. Plus, he's supposed to be in a mental institute or something like that I thought. (I mean, the promo picture sort of suggested it). ReplyDeleteIt's a promo for the #16 and 17
ReplyDeleteThat's what I guessed ! Thanks :) and thanks to yahoo-etc, too :p
ReplyDeleteOkay now, I have doubts, thanks to Jim Michaels lol
ReplyDeletePretty sure that is Meg standing next to Dean in the Castiel scene
ReplyDeleteThings are really heating up now. Poor Sammy looks rough - Jared mentioned something about facial hair recently - at NashCon I think.
ReplyDeleteYeah definitely from the next two episodes.
ReplyDeleteThat's what it looks like to me too. Recognized Dean's jacket and the woman next to him has the right dark hair and height to be Meg. She is supposed to be in the episode with Cas. I wonder what she's up too and why Dean isn't trying to kill her in the scene. :P

ReplyDeleteCould be. She always finds a way not to allow them to kill her. She's the demon who somehow always gets away (only one who has survived the series...hell, she survived Bobby!). Last time it was because she helped them they didn't kill her so it'll probably be like that this time too I figure.
ReplyDeleteYeah. I'm going to need to join them in the mental hospital by the time it airs! lol I'm kidding. Maybe. :P

ReplyDeleteFrankly, I think the best thing for Cas would've been if they'd kept him dead after Lucifer killed him in Swan Song. The character just isn't the same ever since. Yes, I would've missed him like crazy, I loved the season 4&5 Cas, but enough is enough.
ReplyDeleteI do agree, though, that the way his storyline ended at the beginning of this season wasn't exactly the way I wanted to see Cas go. So if they bring him to let him say a proper goodbye - I guess I'm fine with it.
A lot longer? oh yeah 4 episodes, in which only in 5 secs was really himself like WOW...i feel so spoiled it's not even funny...
ReplyDeleteLook, i can only talk for myself, but i DO care about what he did wrong to the boys but i also DO care about the character because he certainly earned it for all the good he did for the boys too and because i'm capable to understand his bad choices too (not defending them, that's a different thing entirely).
Sam and Dean should always (and imo have always been) the center but that doesn't mean they have to be the only characters in there.
uck hurry up March !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol
ReplyDeleteUmmm I'm sorry too but my comment was an answer to
ReplyDeletesharonally initial post.
How some fan can hate Cas so much is beyond me.
How some fan cannot recognise sarcasm when they see it is beyond me too.
ReplyDeleteToi do what? quick fix Sam that would be a crappy way for the writers to go and poor writing . They might as well have Castiel do that in the premiere . I want them to deal with Sams story not use it to get instant redemption for this character .
ReplyDeleteYes, that would make Castiel look like the hero who righted the wrong he had done, and make Sam look weak because without Castiel's help he would remain insane; which would be so unfair when you think of the fact that Sam endured 180 of torture at the hands of a very pissed off Lucifer, and even when his wall did come down he still managed to do his job.
ReplyDeleteSo I would say Sam is anything but weak!
Dean was Sam's stone number one and I hope they continue down that road, helping each other to overcome their difficulties.
Pretty sinister promo. Looking forward to seeing where Sam's storyline goes.
ReplyDeleteBut Cas did not save Sam from the pit. He only got Sam's body, and when push came to shove, he disapproved of Dean who wanted to save Sam's soul too. He rather wanted to let Sam's soul rot for eternity than to finally give peace to what was left of Sam's soul.
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly what happened. (nods in agreement.)
ReplyDeleteLooks awesome and I cannot wait to see it!
ReplyDeleteoh yeah... it would be so wrong to let Cas fix his mistakes right?
ReplyDeleteAlso, Sam weak??? seriously? i don't see how even if Cas fixes him, he would look weak ith how he managed to keep the hallutinations at bay the whole season like we saw on ep.15.
ReplyDeleteOff course, i think it was wrong of him to simply not come clean as soon as he rescued Sam that it was him who did it, i never really understood why he didn't other than for the writers to play with that mystery, but whatever.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for this episode Cas is back
ReplyDelete*sings to self* Need my fix Need my fix! Gonna be killed by boredom, need my fix. This is just how frustrated I've become! lol. *haz issues*
