Aimee Teegarden has hit the proverbial jackpot.

The Friday Night Lights ingenue has been tapped to headline The Selection, The CW’s Hunger Games-esque drama pilot that’s described as an epic romance set 300 years in the future which centers on a poor young woman who is chosen by lottery to participate in a competition to become the next queen of a war-torn nation at a crossroads.

    Neither this nor Hunger Games holds any interest for me but it's nice to see Teegarden land a lead all the same.

    I almost pre ordered the book before I saw it was being made into a show and now i'm not so sure now is the book just a big advert for the show? Makes me a bit nervous!
