Saving Hope

2012
12 Episodes x 60 Minutes

In SAVING HOPE, when charismatic Chief of Surgery Charlie Harris (Michael Shanks, STARGATE ATLANTIS) at Toronto’s Hope-Zion Hospital ends up in a coma, he leaves the hospital in chaos – and his fiancĂ©e and fellow surgeon, Alex Reid (Erica Durance, SMALLVILLE), in a state of shock. Along with newly-arrived star surgeon, Joel Goran (Daniel Gillies, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES), Alex races to save Harris' life. As the action unfolds, comatose Dr. Harris wanders the halls of Hope-Zee in “spirit” form, not sure if he's a ghost or a figment of his own imagination. Reid, along with her fellow doctors, press on to save his life and those of their other patients, as they deal with the complicated and courageous decisions that are made in their daily struggle to keep hope alive.

  1. Sounds awfully dull to me.  Shame.

  2. Hm. Think of me whatever you want, but I kinda liked the trailer. I think Daniel Gillies is awesome and him being in the show is reason enough for me to check it out. Besides Grey's Anatomy, I haven't really watched any hospital show on a regular basis ever. So I can't say the concept seems old, recycled or worn out to me. So I guess I'll indeed give it a try.

  3. I am really looking forward to this. I have loved Michael Shanks since he played Daniel in Stargate. I believe it will be terrific! :)

  4. Like the actors, but this makes me think of "Ghost" meets "A gifted Man" meets "ER"... but I'll keep an eye out for it

  5. I'm a little disappointed.  It's a Grey's clone with a smaller cast and little to no sense of humor from what I can tell from the trailer.  They even threw in some Adele and Florence + The Machine for good measure. I already want to start calling Michael Shanks' character "Denny."

  7. If it stars Erica Durance, I'm so there! Love that woman! (In a purely fraternal, non-romantic way, lol.)

@ Julia Eason. Did you WATCH the promo? It LOOKS pretty awesome to me. If you think it SOUNDS dull, maybe you just had audio.
