Revolution by Eric Kripke and JJ Abrams has officially been ordered to pilot by NBC, it seems to be the last pilot ordered by NBC.

  3. I just don't know what to make of this one yet....

Promising creative team, but they're being overly secretive. That can be good or bad. The premise sounds unique and I like original projects, but it also sounds like it might be very hard to execute well.... Hard to know what to make of it with so little information, but I 'm still paying attention to the project.

  4. Sounds good! I love a good post-apocalyptic thriller.

    No energy around.
Sounds a little like the plot in "Dies The Fire" by S.M. Stirling where no type of electronic equip ment would function any more.
If it's well casted and character-driven (with as few teens as possible) it could be really good.
Looking forward to hearing more about it.

  5. I love a good Post-Apocalyptic thriller too.... sadly so many mediocre and bad ones get made.
Oh well, luckily I tend to enjoy even the mediocre ones! XD

  6. "O ye of little faith!"
Surely out of all the ones produced, probability dictates that one has to be excellent!
Could be that this is going to be it!
    Hope so!
I enjoy the mediocre ones too :)

  7. Sounds good to me. Definitely picked my curiosity.

  8. It sounds amazing, ergo... will fail. NBC + JJ + sci-fi = certain cancelation

  9. I really hope this works out. I'm not very positive that it will, but I wish it would...

  10. As long as NBC let's Mr. Abrams go about his way, I think the plot sounds good and engaging. It seems like there is going to be a mystery as to why the energy cease to exist...Sounds better than I first thought! Can' wait to we get casting info!

  11. As think as long as the characters are interesting and whom they are heavily play into the plot, I can't imagine that this would be bad. There are so many times where I like the plot, but don't care about the people.

  12. I agree with your assessment.
If they cast actors that are appealing, have good chemistry and can make us care about them, that can be more important than the plot.

On the other hand a good idea can be ruined by careless casting.

  13. It worries me that it seems to be again all about a "mystery" (so J.J.) But Kripke's love for characters make me think it could be more than interesting.

The plot itself doesn't sounds groundbreaking or anything, so for me will be a lot about the execution.

  14. Hmmm a lot of similar shows like this have been majorily disappointing but I do like the idea of having no technology shows like Terra Nova failed big time by making it too easy on the characters.

  15. Once again, this sounds like yet another very ambitious and creative idea for a TV series that could either crash and burn or be a breakout hit. That being said, I like Kripke and Abrams and hope that this show does well.

  16. That synopsis doesn't interest me at all.  I'm not sure I'd want to watch a show with an apocalyptic energy crisis anyway.

  17. Interested by the premise, but the thing with JJ (and McNulty) is he puts fire to everything he touches, then he walks away while it burns. His attention span for television shows doesn't seem to last much longer than a season. Here's hoping I'm wrong of course.

  18. Post-apocalyptic, so it will probably have more in common with Falling Skies and The Walking Dead.

  19. I like the post apocalyptic feel. Looking forward to this, and I really can't wait to see who they cast!

  20. This sounds like it could be great, but it seems like JJ has his hands in too many cookie jars.I hope for the best.
