Holy crap, that was amazing! I loved it. Kramer needs to just go, though. There are no words for how much I hate him.
And the moment between Peter and Neal at the end was adorable. How the hell are we supposed to wait for season four? And why would Neal run? Nooooooooooooooooooo.
I found this finale to be quite a bit more understated than the others but it packed more emotional heft into it. I absolutely love the episode from the jaw dropping moments to the character interaction. While I loathe Kramer more than any other character so far (possibly on the entire USA network with the exception of Dead Larry and Brennan on Burn Notice), he sure put Neal in a position to leave us all hanging for 3 months.
I must admit, I love USA network. The White collar season 4 will come back this summer that's not a long break compared to most of other network shows.
Great episode, wonder what will happen now and my goodness how much was that treasure worth? I mean Mozzie had fraction of it send to other country and said that its still amounts to living a life, where money won't be a problem at all or will be a problem on what to do with it.
I like the new info on Neal's character and he's sure a daredevil for jumping to the other cable car while it was moving, I thought after that Peter should had easier time believe his getaway story from the top of the building, it was funny how Peter was like "yeah, right, Neal. Jumping of from the top of the building, pssh"
Oh man... That was fantastic, only now I feel I've been through the emotional wringer!
The action was awesome. The speeches from each person who cares about Neal, and from Neal himself, were just beautiful. El's cakes would have made the episode all by themselves. And the end? Well, agonizing, but it managed to be a kind of agony I can cope with:
The way this ended, everything else may have fallen apart, but Neal's relationships (with the people that matter) are intact. If he'd run leaving a disappointed Peter behind him feeling Neal had let him down, I'd be dying about now. Somehow, the fact that Peter gave him that little nod, and the certainty that Peter knows full well Neal wants to stay, makes all the difference.
And thus the long, long wait begins! How the /hell/ do they write their way out of this one? No ideas spring to mind, but I'm rooting for something involving a slow and painful death for Kramer....
OMG, I don't want to have to wait to find out what happens! I suspected that Neal would run, but I wish he hadn't. I guess we just have to trust that the writers know what they're doing and that they can shape this into something engaging and interesting.
I'm hoping that in the next season we learn a lot more about Neal's background and how he became a con. I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope we get to meet his apparently-not-dead father as well, and his mother. That would be very interesting, and I imagine coming face-to-face with his father is one of the few things that could phase the usually unflappable Caffrey. I'm thinking that next season Peter will go talk to the woman who was hanging onto the Raphael for Neal in an effort to find Neal, which would be a good chance for him and us to learn some about Neal's past. I really want the story behind that relationship, his father, his mother, and how Neal went from police-academy hopeful to master conman. That picture of wee Neal was FREAKING ADORABLE! I would LOVE to see flashbacks to young Neal at some point as well.
I thought it was a great episode overall. I was disappointed that Jones didn't really back Neal up 100%, but Diana showed her loyalty to Peter and Neal with her usual unshakable strength and morality. She's one of my favorites in the show - she's strong, smart, funny, and as a gay woman I really adore their inclusion of a lesbian character who is not a stereotype or some sort of token gay ploy for attention - she's just an awesome character who HAPPENS to be gay. It's not ignored, it's not shoved in our faces, it's just one part of a well-rounded character. I'm SO glad they brought her back to the show - I love her attitude and her relationship with Peter. She's so loyal, and clearly respects him greatly as a boss and a person.
Oh, and poor Peter at the end. He was so earnest and happy and proud to be saying "yes" to Neal going free, and then Diana burst in and dropped the mother of all bombs on him. I really, really hope that Neal running doesn't bring us back to the tension and distrust that the treasure spurred between them this season. We just got their friendship and trust back! This episode showcased that well, with Peter taking risks to help Neal and Neal being honest with Peter about the Raphael, his past, etc. Both of them telling the review board what the other meant to them was so sweet and gratifying. To split them up now, and possibly mar that trust/bond again, is heartbreaking.
Can't wait to see how they resolve this one. And Kramer needs a swift, hard kick to the family jewels. He ruined everything! Ugh, he makes me grind my teeth. The actor who plays him is very convincing in making him a pompous, infuriating dick. It's hard to believe that he was Peter's mentor, considering the vast difference between their temperaments and morals.
Well, now to wait. *starts counting days until season premiere*
wow. I was wondering since the return from hiatus how they could possibly finish this season with a cliffhanger, and do it well... and kudos to the writers, and everyone involved if they didn't just blow my mind - mostly on where/how can they move forward from here..... the mind reels fantastic finish to a great season and I look forward to next season with anticipation....
It was sad how Kramer typifies the worst parts of the FBI and Peter the best. I loved how Peter did not want Neal to be placed like a slave into perpetual servitude under Kramer's whip.
this episode. omg. wow. I can't even. My heart is still racing. This was an emotional rollercoster. I think I'm broke. Amazing episode. Amazing everything.
awesome epi... cant wait for S04... its gonna be a looooooong wait... does this mean that Peter has to catch Neal all over again? or could Peter have known that Neal was going to run away... i dont know if it was just me, but Peter didnt seem that surprised to hear that Neal was gone...
Just food for thought - Neal´s father was a corrupt cop, his partner is on witness protecting because he is still a live somewhere; Neal has his eyes ... go see pictures ... Kramer could be Neal´s father! Why would he wanted him with him forever?
I can't imagine it being anything but giving Neal the chance to run,or at least to clear the area so he wouldn't get arrested at that point..Who knows what S4 opener will reveal? :)
Thank you Peter for giving Neal the opportunity to escape, you just put your job on the line but hey, that's your buddy, your a better man for it... It really was something watching and hearing what everyone had to say about him,man i wish i had friends like that (you know what i mean). We all knew they felt that but to hear it verbalized was touching. The one thing i didn't see coming was Neal's dad being a cop, never mind a dirty cop was anyone else surprised by that?..That blew me away.....Please, oh please don't tell me Neal is related to Kramer somehow,i'm not sure i could take that right now....Okay so when does WC return?
the end was so clifhanger very dificult to swalow for neal he was between a wall and a sword i cry little bit i share his emotions peter is like a father figure but the other agent is pure anarkist to gain power hurt people & try sumit his will for personal gain now neal is gone how the agency react, peter and his mentor are in colition curse this new dinamic will be very powerful and unique.the circumtances has to be different for neal to return

Peter said it u back him into a corner he's gonna run....wow this was awesome.
ReplyDeleteHow do u come back from this?
