  1. Nice Imagery of Shame looking like a walker when he threw the wrench and his image reflected off the broke window.

As for the episode, it was sure a zombie-feast episode, so there you have for the people who were disappointed over not seeing the zombie-feast scenes a lot. I missed the few minutes of the beginning of the episode, so i think Rick finally told us what the doc at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention told him and it was about the blood and how it tends to attract the walkers, i think, i have to re-watch it though. On the other hand, a big mystery opening of two walker cops not having any definite  wounds that would prove why they got infected, and that's why I didn't like the CDC episode in the first season and how they explained or justified how or what the walkers were infected with.

I really though this was the episode where Rick puts down Shame, but it wasn't and after seeing the preview of the next week's episode, I'm sure that coming in the season finale.

As for the side story of attempt suicide and how Lori and Andrea had the difference of opinion, i just thought was OK, nothing special

  2. I agree. The side story with Lori, etc. was okay at best. I actually thought Shane was going to bite the dust, but obviously they are keeping him. At least to the season finale.

As for what the Doc told Rick.... I read something (might not be true) that said the Doc told Rick he is immune to becoming a zombie because of his blood.

Lastly, not much of the cast in this episode. Hopefully we will see everyone with just as much zombie action next week.

  3. Interesting, the Doc did take blood samples from all the group members, but I doubt that the Doc would have kick the bucket if he knew that he just found someone who is immune to the infection, meaning he just stumble upon the holy grail.

  4. The standard practice regarding suicidal people is to keep watch over them and keep them from harm. Andrea's way is: leave them alone to try it out. Andrea's bugging me lately.

  5. Thought it was a very solid episode, good parallel's between the story, didn't feel repetitive in what they were talking about, and good ol' zombie killing.

I liked that Rick and Shane got to duke it out.  Rick's talk with Shane at the beginning I thought was very good, and even though it sucked that it took Sophia's death to occur, I'm liking the darker Rick (liked him before, but more so now).  I'm definitely thinking the lack of bites on the 2 cops are related to what Jenner whispered to Rick, seems more and more likely that it'll be something along the lines of that the zombie infection is airborne and if you die by any means (sans being stabbed/shot in the head (or head crushed)) then you'll turn.  And I understand why Rick wouldn't want to tell the group, it might further diminish their dwindling hopes.  "And hope is a very dangerous thing to lose."

Curious where they're going to take Andrea as she's becoming more and more an outsider of the group like Shane and less like her comic counter part.  At any rate, the farm half of the story was good, just sucked not seeing a lot of the regulars.

Looking forward to the next 3 weeks!

  6. Love me a Sayid quote.

  7. It's too bad Lori and Andrea could not appreciate each other's contributions. But we are being presented with two contrasting philosophies. In a war, should you be proactive and thereby reckless? Or should you proceed with caution, chancing that the hesitation will prove costly?

Shane and Andrea present the proactive/reckless side, and I'm seeing the stupidity of that thinking. There's no reason they can't wait to learn more about Randall before making the decision to kill him or not. There was no reason Andrea couldn't have guarded Beth until the emotions of the moment passed. Then if Beth still wants to commit suicide, let her do it rationally and in her right mind. There is no harm in waiting in most of the cases. Shane and Andrea are two reckless people (as in, Andrea shoots Daryl). And they are pissing off the group. Bad move.

There can only be one leader, and it should be Rick. I thought Shane was properly put in place after Rick's talk with him, but I see from the promo, the lecture  did not stick.

  8. I loved how rick had to kill that last zombie by sticking his gun in the other zombie's head.

  9. The thing Shane doesn't seem to get is that they all need each other, and Shane won't have the support of others when he needs it if he keeps alienating everyone (I'm guessing Shane didn't learn his lesson this week based on next week's promo). I'm glad Rick didn't leave Shane to die.  I don't want to see him get that dark yet.

  10. I enjoyed the episode, but it felt like at the end not much really changed.

I think the Andrea/Lori/Maggie plotline would have worked out better and more powerful in the end if Beth had actually died, as it would be deeply shocking...the only problem with this is that it would really isolate Andrea from everyone if she was responsible for her death.

The same can be said of the 18 miles out part of the episode - it was great stuff with Rick and Shane, but it didn't go anywhere in particular - they didnt even fulfil their original goal to dump the guy or kill him.

Both stories were interesting, but lacked in packing a punch as for all the deep talk and fights, nothing happened...Shane didn't die, Rick didn't kill Randall, Beth didn't commit suicide. I'm not saying everything has to be death death death all the time, but something, anything, to shake up the group was sorely needed.

  11. Anyone understood the meaning behind the walker in the fields? I'm still struggling with this one.

  12. I think it was meant to be symbolic of something but I couldn't figure out what either lol

  13. best episode this season! hated darabonts slow approach to this show, the now showrunner is an awesome writer! I believe the zombie in the field was supposed to be what shane could become if he doesnt stick to the group. he needs the group or he will just end up as another walker walking through the land...

  14. Since it was seen from Shane's point of view, I believe it was a metaphor that Shane is like this zombie, all alone, if he doesn't learn his place and be part of the group.

  15. It was a reflection of Shane's state of mind. Feeling like a loner isolated from the group. thinking he could and maybe should go lone wolf. Or at least that was how I took it....

  16. Not bad.
     - I keep trying to like Andrea but she's rapidly becoming a female Shane.
     - After they left the public works property and were out of danger, Rick should have killed the kid.  After Shane and Rick realized the kid knew who Maggie was and where the farm is, that should have been it.
     - Lori's "let the men kill zombies while the women stay home and do housework" philosophy is extremely annoying.  It's a damn zombie apocalypse.  Everyone should learn how to do everything, whether it's cook, clean, fix things, shoot, or hunt.
     - No T-Dog.  No surprise there.

  17. It was pretty good! I'm tired of Rick and Shane's endless fighting. Like Andrea's way of seeing if Beth wanted to live or not. And Lori annoyed me saying that Andrea should be helping out the women. STFU, Lori, she is helping. (Can't believe I'm defending Andrea, a character I hate. But then again, I hate Lori, too.)

Can't wait to see what happens tonight!
