Ohhhh mannn! One thing is for sure, war is coming, but it's not going to be between Rick's group and the people they encountered at the bar. But it's Rick vs. Shane. LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!
It's simply what Rick did at the bar, which was killing the two man to protect his family, so in that same logic Shane will do the same thing that Rick did no matter who comes in the way that includes Rick, since he thinks Rick is not made for this world and can't protect Lori, Carl, and the baby, which he thinks it's his.
Agree! How many times has Shane declared his love for Lori and Carl despite Lori's consistently telling him to get out of their lives? He won't stop, he's a stalker, and he's out of his mind. What Lori said to Rick was the truth. Shane's gonna go after Rick.
What the heck is going on with Beth? Is she infected with The Infection? Did her dear, dead mother bite her? Is she about the turn into a walker?
Rick was right to pull Randall's leg off the fence instead of waiting for Hershel to perform an amputation right then and there. I hope Randall joins the group and becomes an asset. I don't think Shane is right this time. Randall's group is not about to come looking for him and Randall's not going to want to go back to them. That "candy and flowers" speech was annoying.
Rick didn't have any choice, but to pull Randall's leg out in such a forceful manner. The walkers were coming and Hershel and Glenn both bailed after seeing that the walkers were too many and it would take too much time for a proper procedure . I still stand on what I commented before, someone should have shot him. I'm surprised that Randall was still alive even after such a forceful removal of his leg from the fence, he should have bleed out, but whatever.
The way he reacted when Lori said she'd told Rick about them ... I think he's in a state of mind where he's going to be sure Rick's going to come after him. So it's a "kill him before he kills me" kind of deal. Of course, I want Rick to win, cuz Shane needs to leave now.
Seriously Rick? You really had to announce yourself to the unknown marauders and then make it that much worse by saying you killed their friends? Wow. That is an entirely new tactic to me... Trying to confound your enemy with your apparent stupidity! XD Was it wrong to be cheering for the random walker to take out Lori?
That kid was not the most sure-footed to jump/ slide off of a roof directly on to fence spikes!
Note to self: In case of Zombie Apocalypse, practice Le Parkour. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XsYcVEh9rs&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BiqDUTJnSEM&feature=related
Who is more dumb, the one that tries to lie by saying everyone is back safe and sound at the farm or the one that believes the obvious lie? Let's hope the baby is ricks or there will be one more severely dumb ass person in the world in a 6 or 7 months!
Funny how they all were dumbfounded hearing Lori was pregnant and asked about it, but didn't ask about Hershel or Rick or Glen. Ohhh a baby? Why didn't you tell me?!?!
Note to self #2: In case of Zombie Apocalypse, never wear anything you would not want to be stuck in for the rest of your life. (See Dale's dumb ass shirt) No one deserves to be stuck in an apocalypse wearing nothing but 20-year old cabana wear! No one!
Poor Randall! He went from what could very well have been a functioning troop of marauders to the Island of Broken Toys! I swear there are parts missing on almost everyone on Hershel's farm!
Overall a pretty good episode.
I'm tired of them at the Farm though. Not because of the lack of drama... there is too much drama for me! Melodrama that is. When these idiots are fighting for their lives they tend not to be so self deluded and annoying. They need to get out on the road and stop being so ridiculous. These people do not do comfort well and just need to bitch about something., so let them bitch about zombies trying to eat their flesh instead of who got her pregnant or who should be leader etc.
It's time to move on - literally and figuratively!
I understand about the melodrama, and it always gets amplified in a TV series, but since this series is based on the comic book, the thing about who's the leader and Rick's role in that is actually a one of the main themes in this series. Rick and the group, mainly Rick, are always fighting and doubting on who should be the leader or if the current leader is good for the group. More so, the whole series is more orientated on survival, so worrying about who leads the group to safety and who provides the best condition tend to come up frequently. Zombies will always be there and I think we'll see that as the time goes on, the group and the characters in it will be more on ease about zombies being a threat and will be more worried about something else HINT if you watched the Talking Dead at 12 AM, they had a Trivia Note scene were they showed the meaning of the series title "The Walking Dead" and we're already are seeing it these past couple episodes. The hint is hard to get, but I don't want to give any spoilers way, lol.
Oh I have thought from episode one that the survivors where the walking dead, and I get the drama is about the group dynamics more than zombie killing. I actually like that part of the series... It's what maes me watch week to week honestly!
I just think the farm has gotten stale to me. The characters are fighting about things they would not be fighting about if they were on the move or in danger. There's less time to worry about things when you are scared for your life I guess! XDMaybe it's the particular triangle with Loi in its center that annoys me. I am not a fan of her hypocrisy and this current plot puts it front and center. I doubt that will change, but with Shane gone I hope it will get better. I don't mind Dale like so many others. His paranoia and boundary-crossing "looking out for others" is almost endearing to me XDI did not mind the looking for Sophia either (I actually thought the first half of this season was brilliant compared to last year).. I think it's just the Lori-centric episode that annoyed me
Pretty cool episode, nice mixture of action and drama. And really awesome special effects. The zombie peeling off his skin while he's pressing his face through the window and that guy getting his face eaten alive were absolutely amazing.
Just glad Shane didn't die this episode because right before watching I came across some douchebag who wrote that it's a pity Shane already died in this episode. So I was waiting for Shane to be killed off the entire episode.
Don't get how Andrea can be this blind and doesn't see that Shane is getting more and more dangerous. A lot of people are already scared because of him and she still defends him. A pity she is so much different from the comics.
Also on The Talking Dead, and again in Kirkman's interview on this site, is the observation that Lori is actually taking care of herself pretty darn well. She fought off those walkers just fine before Shane came along.....so I guess what I'm saying is, we may be about to see Lori taking charge and then she'll be a lot more interesting.
I see a showdown coming between Shane and Rick in the season finale. This has been long time coming ever since Shane raised his gun on Rick in season 1. And seeing as how in next week's promo the two started swinging at eachother, I'd say there's no going back from this anymore
Regardless of why she brings it up, Rick needs to know to watch his back esp. with the person he trusts most with it.. Lori is placing her bets and putting it all on her husband to see them through this whole horror show. I wish Shane had left when he could too, now i'm convinced he's on a mission to make life what he had b/f Rick came back, and that it's only leading to his death
Andrea certainly thinks she can help Shane get over Lori.. would she lie and say she's preggers? Nah, but she's going to do something truly stupid to help Shane and god help Dale if he's around looking out for her.
I hope Carl didn't over hear his mother.. i feel the boy is just itchy for the opportunity to show his father what he's made of.. that he can be a protector too..
Well, I don't see Rick being the new Shane 2.0, if he loses his humanity, but just as Shane "thinks" he is protecting his family and acting on that, I see Rick doing the same thing, which he's doing right now. But along the way, he'll realize that he can't be the man that lived before the zombies came to be and has to be calculated and cold heart man to save and secure his family. On the other hand, I see Shane right now as chaotic, and basically delusional, but as people said before Shane has a problem of selling his ideas, whereas I predict Rick will be much more better at that.
Good episode. - Lori, you're kind of stupid. You're also a bit vicious. Then again, it's Shane we're talking about so your bloodthirstiness may be warranted. - Rick, you're too nice. You can't honestly think a "my bad" is going to clear the slate with gun-toting strangers? - Daryl had better stop being a dick pretty soon because there's only so much of that I can take. - Again, hardly any T-Dog this week. We saw more of the catatonic teen girl than him. - Crissakes, Glenn. Sack up. It's a damn zombie apocalypse and you're not just living for yourself anymore.
T-Dog really is just a token black guy. The writers really haven't got a clue what to do with him but they can't get rid of him without angering the PC brigade.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I cringed when the guy got shot and got eaten by the walker and when that other guy fell off the roof.
ReplyDeleteAnd Shane did a good thing lying to Lori about Rick. His other actions weren't all that great, but he was right there.
Rick looks good shirtless. Please happen more often.
And Glenn was mean to Maggie today.
Lori, the hell is wrong with you? You want Shane dead because he says the baby is his and that he wants to be with you? Seriously?
Ohhhh mannn! One thing is for sure, war is coming, but it's not going to be between Rick's group and the people they encountered at the bar. But it's Rick vs. Shane. LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!
ReplyDeleteDaryl Dixon.
ReplyDeleteLori's right. Shane's going to try to take out Rick. It's only a matter of time. I thought Glenn and Maggie were really cute!
ReplyDeleteGreat episode, way more action than last weeks. Still, some parts were a little slow but all in all I thought it was awesome.
ReplyDeleteIt's simply what Rick did at the bar, which was killing the two man to protect his family, so in that same logic Shane will do the same thing that Rick did no matter who comes in the way that includes Rick, since he thinks Rick is not made for this world and can't protect Lori, Carl, and the baby, which he thinks it's his.
ReplyDeleteLori is playing Shane and Rick. They are both better of without her.

Even on the rare case when Shane is right, he is still very annoying. It's part of his "charm" I guess...

Shane is awesome, but it sucks that Rick will inevitably kill him.
ReplyDeletePretty cool episode, nice mixture of action and drama. And really awesome special effects. The zombie peeling off his skin while he's pressing his face through the window and that guy getting his face eaten alive were absolutely amazing.

Rick had the choices of leaving Randall or shooting his head, but he did something that might save Randall's life. Rick still has his humanity.

ReplyDeleteNot only defending him, but trying to socialize him. That's not going to work.
ReplyDeleteGood episode, lot of action! This show needs more triggerfingers and lost less talk!!

I really hope he won't. I wouldn't want to watch that. I definitely don't want him to become another Shane.

ReplyDeleteThey are ruining Daryl's character after making him the favourite of many... :K
ReplyDeleteGood episode.

Yeah, he's gone back to being the total arsehole he was in Season 1. Not good.
