  1. It was a great episode! Holy crap at Lori's car accident. Hope she and the baby are okay. And whoa at Rick shooting the guy! Was not expecting that at all. Holy crap!

I'm so glad the show is back.

  3. That last scene was so intense, I knew something was going to go down but that entire conversation was nerve racking

  4. Great ep, Loved the ending did not see that coming.. However Lori annoyed me.. how many people does she think it takes to get Hershel? She should of sat down at the house and now -_-

  5. It seems that Mr. Kirkman wants to accelerate Rick's character development, didn't expect this incident so early, but interesting.

  6. Agree about Lori's annoying impatience. I wonder who she hit.

  7. Was a little bored actually. Was hoping for more. The whole episode felt sort of repetitive. Like every time they cut to Rick and Hershel they were having the same conversation. Or every time we cut to the group at the farm they are dealing with the bodies. Just seemed like there was some unneeded scenes in there. Felt like it was being stretched out or something.

  8. I love that it picked up right from Barnegeddon!

And then as if that whole event was not traumatic enough for our survivor's and Hershel's crew - SURPRISE! Undead Mama Greene (I think?) wanted to give her baby Beth a little kiss! XD

Pretty powerful stuff to see Hershel packing up his wife's things and preparing for the "funeral". Hmmm... is it still a funeral if you're burying already dead, then undead, then dead again people?

Boy Dale really puts the "fun" in funeral doesn't he? Just what everyone wants to do after burying people, discuss everything so you have no time to deal on an internal level. Go Dale!  No really... leave Dale, leave!

I personally would think the very least you could do for Hersel after destroying his entire world view is to go make sure he's ok and bring him back to the farm! I also think Maggie should have gone with since she would be less apt to anger Hershel more likely to be able to reason with him.

Lori is just annoying an nosensical! She tells Rick that Carl needs a dad like Rick around more, but wants to stop him from going after Hershel. Going after people in possible danger is exactly what makes Rick who he is. You can't have it both ways Lori!

Oh wait, so I guess Carl doesn't need a mom like yourself around Lori? Why on Earth would she go off after lecturing Rick on staying? Lori Grimes your hypocrisy knows no bounds!

Well I guess Rene from True Blood and Guardian Angel Arte Lange are not recurring roles! XD

I liked this episode a lot! A perfect mix of dealing with the events of Barnegeddon and changing expectations of what's to come. Not one of the best episodes. maybe but I thought it was "great".

  9. Especially considering she was lecturing Rick about Carl needing his dad around... then she takes off with no goodbye to Carl even. Just asks Andrea to check in on him....

  10.  I think the point was that she was going to get Rick back because she doesn't trust Shane after what Dale told her.

  11. After all that talk how the second half of the season is more action packed and faster paced, I was definitely expecting something different. It was rather slow and at times even a bit boring.
But what saved it was the ending. I thought Tony & Dave are recurring roles which are supposed to stay around for 4 episodes. So I never saw that ending coming. I just thought they'll have a discussion and in the end work something out. A bit of a pity that we won't be seeing more of Raymond-James, but next episode we should be introduced to Michael Zegen's character, maybe he'll stay around longer...

Apart from that Lori was very annoying. And the accident was kind of stupid too. Reading a map while driving, hitting a walker and then not being able to control the car. *insert any female driver joke*

Shane shows no signs of remorse, even going crazy on Dale who did nothing to provoke this. Another hint towards a big showdown between Rick and Shane in the finale...

  12. Love the last scene, did not expect them to bring on these guys just to shoot them. Great stuff!! Lori was annoying, and made little sense but overall a great episode

  13. Was it a walker she hit? I couldn't tell if it was that or another survivor. But reading a map while driving is just as dangerous as texting while driving. I see people doing it and it scares me.

  15. My synopsis of this week's The Talking Dead:

Guests are Glenn Mazzara and musician Dave Navarro, who is strange-looking but seems to be an avid fan.

Chris Hardwick asks them if Rick had any option other than to kill the two men, and wonders if This demonstrates that Rick is losing his humanity.

GM said no, Rick is a cop and he followed police training first by trying to calm them when their talk became threatening, then to shoot when they started reaching for a gun.

DN: Difference between these men and zombies is that the humans had evil intent.

GM: There will be more zombie killing in the future. "It will be zombielicious."

DN asks GM: Why aren't they leaving the farm?
GM: We see how dangerous it is outside the farm. The farm is safe.

CH: Why do the others hate Shane when he's so logical? He's made all the right decisions.

DN: He's self-absorbed. Even when he's washing Carol's hand, he talks only about himself, not her grief.

CH: Is Dale slowly poisoning everyone against Shane? (Good question!).

DN: I think Dale has childhood baggage regarding bullies.

In a call-in poll "Who would you most like to lead you in a zombie apocalypse: Rick, Daryl, Shane, or Hershel?" Rick won.

From a caller: Is Beth's infection a sign that she was bitten by her mother and that she's turning?
GM: You'll have an answer to that soon.

Clip from next week: Hershel, Glenn, and Rick still hiding out in the bar.

  16. When did The Walking Dead get so boring? Seriously, Season 1 was just AMAZING and Season 2 was pretty lame, except for the first few episodes. This one was quite better, but still more The Talking Dead than the Walking Dead.

  17. Right now I think Lori and Dale are my least favorite characters...I was surprised that Rick was able to shoot both those guys...I had a feeling Hershel was going to grab a gun and shoot one, but I think it plays better with Rick doing it

  18. She doesn't trust Shane so she's going to run off and leave Carl on the farm with him?  Sorry, that was just stupid reasoning.  But I'm thinking they had her go on purpose to set up the accident...quick way to solve the baby issue, perhaps, by having her lose it due to the accident?

  19. Good follow-up ep continuing after the Barn Massacre.Shane sez that Rick can't make the tough calls?  Sorry Shane, but his actions in the bar prove otherwise. He's a gangsta, just not a psycho.re:Sophia -  Virgil and Maggie are both lying.  They knew about her being in the barn. In the episode Chrerokee Rose - when Shane says that she may already be a walker, you can see them exchange guilty looks.  Check it out about 7 1/2 minutes into the episode.

  20. If that's the case on Hershel lying, then I don't see it. Why would he continuously hound to Rick and others that he didn't want them to stay on his farm. He obviously knew that keeping such secret would just prolong Rick and others stay on the farm.

But then again, maybe Hershel thought that Rick and the group could provide protection, or if he told them of Sophia's turning into walker and that she's locked up in the barn then, Rick and his group would have put her down, which he didn't approve. In logic sense, if the lying by Hershel is true, then he seems to be hypocritical on his decisions.

  21. I figure he plain and simple did not want them to know about the barn-walkers.

What he feared is ultimately what transpired.
Seriously - watch the footage - I can't see any other reason for Virgil and Maggie's behavior. Yes, Virgil was being hypocritical - one more reason to be driven to the bottle rather than subject himself to serious soul-searching at this time.

  22. This could be their way out of having to deal with the baby issue.

  23. I liked this one.  But am I really to assume that they'll now be staying at the farm?  I hope not. I'm a bit bored of the whole Little House on the Prairie stuff now. Time for a new pastures, and by 'pastures' I mean, 'not pastures anymore, please'.

As TMG says, I think Lori's crash is just a way to get rid of the baby.  And for this I am glad.  I have nothing against babys as such, but there are few ways to deal with pregnancy and child-birth in drama series that aren't riddled with cliche... I can't be doing with "but what about the baby? but what about the baby?  but what about the baby?" for the next two seasons.  Best to kill of the little squirm before while it's still eligible for abortion.

  24. Would also sum up this episodes with these observations.

I thought it was better balanced that the previous season 2 episodes, though I expected Dave to grab for the obligatory shotgun under the bars counter. :D

  25. Yeah, I had a real hard time buying all that.  Maybe they will write it off as pregnant hormones.

  26. This was a great episode. I was not expecting the ending. The next episode should be great.

  27. Not bad.
     - I don't expect TWD to be a barrel of laughs but this episode was downright depressing.
     - Really, Lori?  Are you really that stupid?...  and hypocritical?... and stupid?  XD
     - I hate to say it, but I agree with Andrea.  What Shane did wasn't wrong.  The way he did it was wrong.
     - So is Dale officially the "Tara Thornton" of TWD now?  Is he the constantly complaining, judgmental, whiny bitch that almost everyone dislikes?
     - So, T-Dog had nothing to do in this episode besides all of  the grunt work?  While everyone had some great dialogue and at least one poignant scene (even Carl), T-Dog was left to dig graves, toss corpses in a truck, build a walker pile, and burn it?  That sucks.
     - Oh, by the way... nice shootin', Rick.
