  2. That was awesome at last Ester is gone and it seems that their is another white oak tree that's cool. Bonnie's mom is gonna be a vampire that is a nice twist. Can't wait till March 15 Tess aka Sage is gonna be here...

  3. Strangely I couldn't empathize with Bonnie crying and not wanting to see Elena at the end of the episode.. Caroline saying that Bonnie is always the one getting hurt, I beg to differ; Elena has lost her parents, her bio mom, her bio dad, her aunt in a year. Bonnie only knew her mom, who abandoned her when she was a little child, like what 2 weeks ? I don't know how to fully express what I thought about the dynamic there, but I didn't like it.

  6. Good solid episode. Loved the scene with Caroline and Klaus.

Not a big fan of Bonnie. This episode did not improve my thoughts of her.

Wonder if Esther will be back for the final.

  7. did anyone else just love the Klaus/Kol/Rebekah scene in the beginning of the episode? Great sibling vibe very "normal", with big brother Klaus sitting around drawing, baby brother Kol restless and bored and baby sister doing a walk of shame. It was funny. great chemistry among the original siblings.

  8. awesome. but I too got really annoyed with Bonnie again. it really was not Elena's fault. She did not tell her too meddle with the vampire business this time. Like Bonnie herself said, her grandmother was probably screaming not to do it from the other side. And as someone else before me said, Elena have lost a lot more. Well I guess it's okay to act a little irrational when something like this happens to your parent.

How Damon "sacrificed" himself for Stefan was just the sweetest.

What was with the Dr. Fell "come you can sleep at my place, ups I accidentally left the knife I stole from you (that have been used to kill people) right there on a table in the kitchen, you were not supposed to see that" move.

  9.  Good episode
I love the scene with caroline and klaus !!!!

  10. Well, I like that in this episode they approached the: "Let's die for Elena". It doesn't have to be comforting having a friend whose Boyfriends (two!) would kill you or harm you for Elena's sake. Both Caroline and Bonnie loves Elena, but I can imagine them wondering: Why us? What makes us more expendable than Elena?? That has to hurt your esteem (Look at Caroline, never the one...)

  11. It was my favorite scene in the episode and then, Elijah interacting with Rebekah as a brother and them him saying that protecting his family was the most important thing, I wounder if that means he wants to keep Klaus safe.

  12. Sad scene when Klaus is throwing Caroline's portraits to the Fire! That's it mean he has given up??? Dont think so!!

  13. Leave Bonnie the f--- alone please. Her mother lost her powers saving Elena when she was just a kid and just decided to stay away. She was doing a spell with her Grams (who died as result) to help Elena. All Bennett witches get involved in vampire business eventually (starting all the way back to a 1,000 years ago apparently). Bonnie is the least developed character (and get the least amount of screen time). Just give her a break. Quit the Bonnie hate. I don't even like Bonnie (I love the actress) but I am just tired of people dogging her out.

  14. Oh oh, this episode was aweesome. But i dont like dr fell at all, Damon was right here over!

  15. It was an awesome episode, even better than "Dangerous Liaisons" with all its glitz and glamour.
My favorite scene was when Rebekah told Elena in no uncertain terms to sit down and shut the hell up. I loved that part. Elena totally deserved that and I'm glad it was Rebekah who did it! xD
Despite not really liking Finn in the first 2 episodes (him playing a minor role and all - just a messenger for his mother), I felt oddly connected to him when he spoke out about his feelings on being a vampire to the Bennetts.
Esther was amazing and I can't wait to see her again. Hopefully they won't just bring her back to kill her!

  16. I'm actually loving the Klaus/Caroline dynamic.. I expected to hate it, since it seemed to come out of nowhere, but it kind of makes me smile haha.. I know it can never end well, especially with how twisted and diabolical Klaus really is, but for now, Tyler who?

I'm pretty sure Elena's not going to be as concerned about Elijah now that he used her as collateral and could have gotten her killed, even if he did leave her that letter.  I enjoyed the Damon/Stefan bonding at the end of the episode, too.  They're playing nice!

Poor Alaric, though!  Will the guy ever catch a break?

  17. The main cast is BORING!!!
Loved the Originals, and no chance in hell you kill my professor Ric, I love the guy!!!

  18. I loved it when Alaric called Care a little blonde distraction. :)

  19. Also true !! But there is also the fact that Elena is extremely selfless and would have died many times to prevent the people she loves from being hurt. It's not entirely her fault she's a doppleganger and has two knights in shining armors to save her from every danger.. hahaha That being said, it is very true that it must not be comforting for Bonnie and Caroline to know they would be expandable if the time came.

I really liked the episode as a whole though.. Also, what got my attention is when Esther said the spell would make them human and therefore they could be killed (and not be killed by the spell)... That would be an interesting twist at some point if it were to work, considering the number of people being turned into vampire is pretty high this season.. Let's imagine they would be turned back as human and not be killed afterwards..

  20. I hate people hating Bonnie. Just like I hate people hating Tyler. Elena didn't even think about the consequences for Elijah, she just acts and then reflects and now, Bonnie is suffering...again. So happy that finally Klaus has given up on Caroline, their "relationship" is non-sense, I can't stop saying it! Now, I am really wondering what is Elijah new goal after the "family aftermath".

well ester isnt gone she fled.

  22. I was underwhelmed.  It was a perfectly good episode....but I think my problem was that it hit a lot of notes that I expected them to hit.

I knew they were going to have to keep Esther's spell from working.  They're no where near ready to get rid of Klaus so that out was expected.

Even the discovery of the existence of another white oak tree wasn't a surprise.  They had to come up with another way to destroy Klaus.....cause otherwise what else are they going to do.

There were two surprises for me though... 1) Bonnie's Mom didn't get killed off.  Full expected her to.  I mean the character is basically cannon fodder and 2)  Dr. Fell is the murderer. I had been lulled.  My first thought was..."Damon is going to get a kick out of saying "I told you so!"

  23. Don't forget that Elena also lost Jeremy...despite the fact that he's still living...she's completely alone in the world.

Bonnie, IMHO, has a tendency to be wishy washy.   After her grandmother died she returned to town declaring that she hated all vampires and refusing to talk to Elena because she wouldn't turn her back  on Stefan.  Then she decided she was going to enter the fight and now, when she hits another tough spot  ( I was about to say...she's lot the opportunity to get to know her mother but she hasn't.  No more than she's lost Caroline from her life.)  Well, now I'm wondering what the heck Bonnie is whining about . :-D

  24. You couldn't empathize with Bonnie? What are you? I could (and that is rare). I think many people did.
Remember Caroline saying: "But somehow she's always the one who's get hurt"
That was not completely wright. I mean she lost her grams and her mother because of this vampire thing Elena got into (I'm not saying it's Elena's fault. 1. She was born as the doppelganger. 2. You can't choose, who you love). It's not just Bonnie. It's everyone around her. Caroline, Tyler, Jeremy, Jenna, John, Rick, Matt, all her school friends Klaus killed … All humans around her get hurt or die.
And I think Elena is incredibly strong. That she can still get up in the morning and go on. I don't think I could. I would think that this world (and everyone around me) is better off without me. And finish it.
And no, I'm not mad at Bonnie for not talking to Elena. Actually I wonder that Elenas friends still talk to her and still want to help her.
You're wright. Elena lost her parents (both sets) and her aunt. But this is different. She was born as the doppelganger and was born into this world, this conflict, this madness. I'm not saying she deserved it, don't get me wrong. I'm just saying, she was born into this world and she has to live with it and deal with it. But her friends weren't born into this. They joint this world because they love Elena. Ant this is wonderful (I wish I had friends who would do something like that for me) but they are all paying a very high price for it.

  25. I think this: he liked Caroline. Which is a first since he never liked anyone, always just took what he wanted and bounded everyone to his will. He really wanted Caroline to like him the way he is. He never tried to compel her. After the events of this evening, he knew or suspected that she was just there to distract him (means, working against him). So he gave up the wish to find someone who likes him the way he is out of free will. Next ep. he is again compelling everyone an using his hybrid slaves, I bet.

  26. I like Bonnie. And as I already commented before: I'm not mad at Bonnie for not talking to Elena. She lost her grams and her mother because of the vampires. Bonnie (like all of Elenas friends) loves Elena and just wants to help. But she (and all the others) is paying a very high price. All of Elenas friends get hurt or die

  27. She had an alibi on tha last attac. Didn't she?

  28. I'm surprised that Becca told Klaus about the tree. That she told at all.
What did she say? "After 1000 years together as a family you're the only one who never left me"? Of course not! But he also never saw her as his sister. As a person. She was his slave. His toy. 1000 years it was always about him! For 1000 years she was there for him. Did, what he wanted her to do. Always put him first. And what happen when she, for the first time after 1000 years, wanted something for herself? Wanted, for a short time, a life of her own? He daggered her. Without hesitation or remorse. Is that family to her? Then she is as twisted as he is! (But I still love her. She is a great character)
I hoped, she would leave him. And live her own life. She's staying with him because of Elena. Because she wants revenge. And one more thing: She is so pissed because Elena stabbed her. She had a reason. What about Klaus? He stabbed her too. For no reason. Except the fear she would leave him.

Loved the dynamic between Damon and Stefan. They make a great team. It's time they realize that.

Caroline and Klaus: like how she makes him chase her. But it will never happen.
    1. She is not a psychopath, he is.
    2. I think she still loves Tyler
    3. First he gave Ty the order to kill her, just to be the hero who saves her, than he is hitting on her? What is this?

    ReplyDelete
  29. So happy to see that someone else like the Klaus/Caroline connection. The two of them are so different - why wouldn´t they find eachother fascinating?! I liked her with Tyler, but I love her with Klaus. Hope it goes somewhere....but slowly.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I hope not. Love them together. Also, some spoilers has said that when Tyler comes back he is gonna be unhappy to see that Klaus is making moves on his girl.

    ReplyDelete
  31.  I really liked the episode too! Dont understand Esther, though! Couldn't she just make their sons humans again without any killing afterwards?? That would be an interesting plot but not like something defenitive, I would love to watch them trying to adapt to the vulnability of their renewed humanity... but turning back some episodes later in vampires. Because, Elijah and Klaus without being immortal and powerful and I-know-all.... well, they would loose their appeal.

  32. KiaraA, I don't think the scene will make him compell everyone and use his hybrid slaves (In the hurting way that we are used by Damon). First, because he didn't stop compelling and all that... he stoped first for Stephan and then for her mother (Not Caroline). I am sure he will still be himself in the next episode and he will try to do whatever is needed to find and destroy the new oak tree. The company of Rebekah and their objective will keep them busy. I look forward, though, some scen where Caroline notes that he stoping chasing her and feels guilty, or sadenned if Klaus tells her he is dissapointed by her actions.

the dane, I love them toghether too! Although I can feel pity for Tyler when he comes back, thats gonna be a schock. You dont want sexy undestructible Klaus as your competition. I wonder if by then the relationship between Caroline and Klaus will have developed in some casual flirting friendship.

  33. Great episode. Surprised about Bonnie's mother becoming a vampire, I thought Damon would kill her. Also, I knew Dr Fell is suspisious, but just as I started to think she is not the serial killer, she does what she does. I hope Alaric survives that.
Well done Elijah, well done Damon.
Also liked a little blonde distraction scenes. But since when Klaus started to like Caroline, he wanted to kill her a few episodes back.

  34. Pretty good.
     - It's a bummer that Esther is gone.  I like her.  I hope she comes back soon.  Finn creeps me out though.  Too bad they seem to be a package deal.
     - I used to like Rebekah.  I thought there was some hope for her but she's been too influenced by Klaus.  She's just as bad as he is.
     - By those drawings Klaus was burning, it seems that he may be giving up on Caroline.
     - Bonnie's mom is officially a waste of a character.  Persia White is good but the character they wrote for her was just vampire bait and nothing more.
     - Stefan is reverting to his old self and so is Damon.  Before you know it, it'll be season one all over again.  Maybe that's not such a bad thing.
     - I'm starting to think maybe Matt AND Bonnie would be better off moving away from Mystic Falls.  Nothing good happens to them here.
     - Stupid Alaric.  Stupid, stupid Alaric.  Say what you want about Damon but he's a good judge of people.  Alaric should have listened to him about Fell.
     - Even though I don't really like any of them, the normal family dynamic between Col, Klaus, and Rebekah was nice.  I think they were giving Rebekah too much grief though.

  35. Yeah i thought she went back to the other world but i guess not i am almost sure she fled with Finn.
