This was, without a doubt, the funniest episode of the season. I've been pretty down on the current season to this point. I think there have been too many substandard episodes and too little laughs but this episode was great.
- The cooler scooter was amusing. - Big Judy was a fun new character. I hope they bring her back. - I loved all the "Burt" jewelry. It seemed like something Burt would buy if he had the cash to burn. - I found all of Burt's gambling ticks and twitches to be quite hilarious. - Burt trying to pass off his "Burt" cufflinks as earrings for Virginia was funny but his "it's so hard to shop for you!" outburst right after had me rolling. - I loved the cameos by the daytime hooker and Tim Stack from My Name Is Earl. - "Yes! 20 to 1. There's nothing more beautiful than a fast fat kid." - Using an elementary school yearbook as a racing program was one of the funniest things I've seen on this series. - Burt betting on "none of the above" is still making me laugh.
I think the best part of this for me was the fact that it's the only time I've ever seen a sitcom use gambling addiction as a plot and everybody kept winning, not losing. It was very different and very funny.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
