  1. The ending was fantabulous!! Did anyone catch what the boxes said at the very end? It went so fast I couldn't tell...but things can only go downhill now. Excited to see where this goes!

  2. System Administrator Security Breached
    Evaluating Options

    Mitigate.Subvert.Monitor.

And then it highlighted and clicked "Monitor" which if I recall is the same thing it did in the flashback earlier this season with Ingram when he started asking too many questions! XD

  3. Awesome episode!

There was not a huge amount of banter between Finch and Reese, but when they did it was hilarious!

I loved Reese telling Finch to cut the building's power at the signal. Then he chambered the shotgun, "That was the signal!." XD

At first I thought that Alicia Corwin may be the unknown hacker, but of course she was not. Now I think she was the confidant of Ingram and knows that Ingram's partner in the Machine was responsible for Ingram's death. So she fled to a tech-free safe zone to avoid detection by the unknown partner who is Harold...

Speaking of Harold.... he has used last names of Finch and Wren which are both types of birds. I forget other pseudonyms he used on the show... I wonder if they are birds too? Also if he has a fondness for bird names perhaps his real last name is bird related..... His first name may actually be Harold for all we know I guess.....

I love that the kid called Reese a Ronin! I liked that De Niro movie (even if it wasn't brilliant) and the concept does apply to Reese. He used to have a master called the CIA, now he is masterless, and he has a code he lives by that is honorable... if you ignore the numerous laws broken that is! XD

I was very glad to see Fusco again! Nice to have him show that he is true Police as they would say on The Wire.

I liked seeing the mentor side of Reese, teaching this kid lessons as he goes about his mission! XD

Very fun episode, one of the better this season I think.

  4. Loved it! Liked that we got everyone in on the fun including Fusco, who I wondered if he would see Reese covering Carter, but was too caught up protecting the kid to notice. And hopefully he feels better about what they're doing considering his old boss came to get the thug out of Carter's jail (makes me wonder if Carter/Fusco's capt is on the level himself). It seems that Fusco and Carter will find out about each other before long. Nice development on the son of Ingram and the old friend who is obviously afraid of Finch/Wren/ Sparrow or whatever avian monikers he came up for himself, and can't wait to see where that thread goes.. Awesome ep

  5. Why should't Alicia C. be the hacker?

  6. I liked it.  Was expecting not to after the trailer.  The kid came of unlikable.  I liked his relationship with Reese.  The six steps and the kid quoting Sun Tzu.

Interesting way to write Ingram's son out (for now at least) we didn't get too much new...but what we did get was really interesting.  Have we even heard Harold's real name?  I spent the whole season so far thinking that Harold's alias were to protect him in the wake of Ingram's murder but...noooo.    I also didn't expect that woman's reaction to hearing Mr. Wren's name.  My guess is that she thinks Harold is being Ingram's death.

Nice touch getting Fusco shot in the ass.

  7. Well I guess she COULD be. Nothing is certain until they reveal who the hacker is.

I thought the hacker was in control, confident, cool under pressure and a professional. Plus it seemed like she enjoyed facing off against Finch, she liked the challenge.

Alicia came off as powerless, scared, very nervous, and an amateur who was trying to hide. Like she ran away from whoever killed her old partner Ingram so scared she moved to the most tech-free zone she could find.

Appearances can be deceiving, but they seemed like two entirely different people to me apart from both being female.

  8. I LOVED IT! LOVED IT! LOVED IT! of course, the Ingram back-story was my favorite 'coz we got to know about Harold and Ingram.. I'm very surprised he used aliases ALL his life.. I loved Reese's quote "Only the paranoid survives" .. I agree with DarqueMode .. Alicia's grief even after this long hinted to more close relationship with Ingram..

I absolutely loved Reese with Darren.. Astro was my nagging concern but he was actually good. Carter & Fusco make a really good team..

    Hilarious moments:
    - the thug waking up in a police car xD
    - Reese's "That was a signal" xD
    - Fusco is shot in the ass xD

Now, I'm officially worried about Fusco, The Machine monitoring him isn't gonna be pretty.. I was thinking that Will was gonna be The Machine's next victim, due to "asking questions", but now it looks like Fusco might know more than he lets on (or so I believe)..

  9. Reese was actually quoting Finch when he said that line!

Also the machine wasn't monitoring Fusco, but Reese. I had to rewind that part too to be sure. ;)

  10. Yeah I wasn't sure if the Machine was taking note of one of them or both Reese and Fusco....

  11. I think I'm gonna have another POI marathon this week :)

OMG! I had to re-watch that & you're right.. both Reese AND Fusco got targeted .. now I get why they said "nobody's safe" WOW! that'll be one hell of a ride..

  12. During the Ingram scene it also flashed 'threat detected'  i believe.. and yep, it choose monitor..   The machine has a wicked self preservation... I wonder if Harold fully respects what the machine is willing to do..    I feel like the Ronin stories while definitely relating to John's past with the CIA (your master lied to you, told you good people were bad) it is also foreshadowing his new master, the machine.

  13. i think it's purposefully hard to tell which one it pegged to monitor. Like b/f when Harold is watching Ingram and the Govt guy and the machine says "threat detected" we think it's govt guy who has been trying to hack it but by the last mins. we realize it could be/ probably was talking about Ingram all along.

  14. I like that idea!
That Reese may have to (ahem) rage against the Machine for self-preservation at some point... I had not thought of it going that far just yet, but I can see the potential after you phrased it as "his new master, the machine".

I think that would be a good way down the road, but if it happened once with Ingram... it can happen again with Reese easily enough!

I think Reese may put up a different fight than Ingram did though. XD

  15. Haha wow, I hadn't even seen it was BOTH of them! That's awesome. :D

  16. itoo thought she'd be the hacker when she was mentioned.. but I got an Asian vibe from the female hacker.. don't know why..  but that 'feeling' was why i dismissed Alicia as soon as i saw her..

  17. I really got no physical image of her since she could have been in disguise and we only saw her from behind....

Later after reading some comments on here I wondered if she is random as I first imagined or if she is more related to Finch. We know Finch lost someone since he has stated it before and I always assumed he meant Ingram honestly... or maybe a wife/ girlfriend.

He faked his own death to go into hiding, but maybe he left someone behind when he went underground.. a daughter? Just one of those weird feelings I got for no reason whatsoever! XD

I seriously doubt it's his daughter, but it might be interesting.

  18. actually, if you go back and re-watch that scene, you'd see that both Reese and Fusco got marked with the red boxes.. which makes sense since these two clearly don't know the consequence of investigating the machine.. It'd be so so so interesting to see later!

  19. ah HA ha!  you are correct. ;o)

  20. Awasome episode. Fusco is back and help save the day. Jim Caviezel really did a great job in this episode. Great and hilarious lines between Finch and Reese. Good dynamic between Reese and Darren.

Fusco been shot in the ass hahahahaha
    Reese taking Carter's car hahahahaah

Now the machine monitor Reese and Fusco. I think Finch is more danger than Elias hahahaah

  21. If I'm not mistaken, the alias he used when Carter first interviewed him was "Harold Partridge", another bird name.

  22. Has anyone tried enlarging that newspaper article on Ingram's death to see if the cause of death is revealed in it?

    ReplyDelete
  23. I tried but did not have a very good HQ copy. Maybe someone with HD video might have better luck

  24. Hmm.... I'll give it a try a bit later... was it in tonight's episode I don't recall it?

  25.  hopefully before the season finale they will reveal who Root is...

    ReplyDelete
  26. Yeah, it was in the most recent episode. There was another newspaper article (about Ingram, I think) in a recent episode though. Maybe "Super" since that's the episode Will first appeared in.

  27. Thish episode was great. looking forward about the mystery of Finch!

  28. It was a great episode. Am I alone here or might some of you also suspect that Ingram's son talking about going to the Sudan is only a ruse to continue investigating?

  29. Good episode.
     - Fusco was shot in the ass.  Awesome.  :)
     - Carter is starting to lighten up a bit and not complain so much.  Thank you, Jeebus.
     - Eventually, Ingram is going to keep digging and the machine will try to take him out.
     - Reese's completely inappropriate partnership with that kid was quite entertaining.
