  1. I loved it! So glad the Kathryn/David/Mary mess is finally over with. And I liked Kathryn! Too bad she had to cross paths with Regina. (And she should have told Kathryn the truth, tbh. It's what a good friend would do.)

And yay, Henry got his book back! I don't trust "August".

And I knew it wouldn't end well with Kathryn. And that was Frederick at the end who found her car, right? I hope Kathryn is okay, because I want Abigail/Frederick.

Emma and Mary Margaret in the same bed was adorable. I loved that mother-daughter moment!

  2. Meh. Somehow this made me not really like Charming that much and hate David even more. I'm kind of distressed at how thoroughly the show killed my excitement for my OTP.

I'm just living for Regina and Gold scenes, apart and together, now.

  3. I understand the anger at David...but what did Charming do? He restored Abigail's true love and continued on his question to find his own. I don't see how Charming has done anything wrong, in fact he looks a million times better than his Storybrooke counterpart.

  4.  I'm loving more and more Snow and Charming story.
    They are my OTP

And Regina and Gold.....well, I like them, but it's annoying to see them in every fairy tale. I want more villains.

  5. Umm... Regina and Gold weren't the villains in this tale. It was Charming's father and the Siren.

  6. I was so bored. Last week was so amazing, this one was dull in comparison.

I really like Kathryn, but Mary and David are just so boring and repetitive, I don't look forward to their episodes.

David is ruined for me. Hate him.

  7. Kathryn said she wrote a letter to both of them right? Did MM get her letter? I didn't see Regina take it.

  8. Davids such a drip, he needs to become a hero somehow? Still loving the show though!!!! And Katherine turned out to be so gracious, who would have thought!

  9. Every time I feel a little sympathy for Regina with how Henry treats/rejects her "motherly" actions, it gets smashed into pieces as she continues to destroy people's happiness and pretend to be the friend or the hurt one. Sorry Regina but I no longer hope to see you redeemed somehow in future episodes/seasons, I just want to see you suffer as you have made others suffer.
David, you are still an idiot to me and all that crap about not wanting to hurt anyone is your sad excuse of being a selfish d*** who doesn't want any blame to fall on himself. Also that sad puppy look that you always seem to have doesn't work on me and pisses me off. Mary Margaret, how else did you think everyone would react when they found out that you were the 'other woman'? That's what you were for the last few episodes and seemed pretty desperate about it too. I would have thought she had a clue how David coming clean to Katherine was going to go with how reluctant he was about it. I hope she doesn't get into much trouble next episode since it seems like people think she has the most motive in Katherine's disappearance. I'm glad that Henry got his book back (even though he seemed like he was having fun with that game that Regina bought him) but I wonder if that guy messed with the contents. There must have been a reason why he took apart the book and sewed it back together.

  10. I'm also really curious about why the stranger (not a fan of his "real" name) took apart the book and sewed it back together.  Did he take some parts out? Make a copy? Edit something?

I wonder if Henry will notice.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Sadly Regina is nobody's friend. Her only motive is to cause as much pain as possible especially to Snow/Mary Margaret.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Regina took it and burned it.

    ReplyDelete
  13. So here's my big question...Does Regina really like Kathryn?  Was her true love, in Fairyland a sign that Regina was willing to give her only friend a happy ending?  I want to say yes.

Am I the only person who things that your car veering off the road doesn't really qualify as the "terrible things happen" that Henry warned Emma of.

And the buy guy di....messing around with Henry's book?  Hmmm.  Liked the water scam though.  :-)

  14. This was also a huge topic of discussion among my family.  My first thought was that he made a copy and was putting it back together to return the original.  My cousin's theory is that he made some alterations to the book then put it back together.  I think it's a good theory.  And if that is the case...I feel certain that Henry will notice it.  That book is his bible.

The other thing that occurred to me...August has three names.  Have you ever heard the  thing that all assassins in America have three names.  John Wilkes Booth, etc.  Could August Wayne Booth be in town to take out Regina?  Or could he be here at Regina's request to try and take out Emma?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Why would he be called August? He doesn't look at all like an observer! Now I'm really confused :(

    ReplyDelete
  16. I still think August is the one who wrote the book. He wasn't copying or altering the book, he was adding new pages.

    ReplyDelete
  17.  Or adding new pages, because he might me the author.

  18. Seriously, are people stupid? What show are you watching?
DAVID IS CURSED; HE IS IMPERFECT, THAT'S THE POINT OF THE SHOW, show the fairy tale characters in our world with the curse. Charming is still in him, but they have to break the curse.
For me, Rumpel and Regina are always boring, they are in every fairy tale and I DONT WANT THIS; I need more villains, not always them.

  19. It was cool to see Charming and Abigail working together (to stay AWAY from each other) in the fairy tale world.  I wasn't expecting to like her in either world, but she kind of snuck up on me when I wasn't watching.  David's a coward, and kind of a d-bag.  Kathryn didn't deserve to find out about Mary Margaret from Regina, and he could have done better than feeding her some line about "not being able to connect" with her.  At least that mess is finally over.  I DO love all the bonding between Mary Margaret and Emma  :)

    ReplyDelete
  20. Yeah, they really need to redeem David.  He just makes me mad now.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Oooh, that's intriguing.. new pages?  Henry would definitely notice, though - I think he's read that thing backwards and forwards.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I understand that he's cursed, but that doesn't excuse him from being a d-bag.  I know he and Mary Margaret are actually meant to be, but in Storybrooke, Kathryn doesn't know any better.  She's just a woman who loves her husband, and found out that he'd been cheating on her.  In Storybrooke, since they don't know who they really are, we can't really make excuses for them.  Yeah, they're human and imperfect, but he's handling things really badly.  That makes it hard for me to like him right now.  Still love Charming, though, so there's hope.

    ReplyDelete
  23.  That was my interpretation too. He is a writer after all.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Well, like everyone, I dislike David in this episode.
However, maybe there could be some particular curse stopping him from telling Kathryn the truth. I did notice that he was always about to, and it felt as if he could not. Like something was forcing him to say something else.
But that was something that occured to me in a moment, and I later ignored it. But maybe there is a hint there to why he´s being so different from how Charming would act.

  25. I liked Abigail and Frederick's storyline a lot. I didn´t imagine I would. (I realise that  the guy Abigail ran into at the school was Frederick before he was shown. That was so "Lost" like it just had to be him).

It really does seem like David and Charming are two different people. I´m not liking that. Actually, I tunned out for most of the MM/David scenes from the episode. I´m tired of the dinamic that they are currently in.

The scene with Granny and MM made me sad, but of course Granny would react that way, And really, it´s such a small town, and they were VERY obvious. I´m surprised Regina was the only one that found out.

The Stranger fixing/writing/coping/whatever it was that he was doing to the book was fun. And it was great to see it once again in Henry´s hands.

I can´t wait to find out what happened to Abigail.

  26. This episode lacked some Gold/Rumple action!!!

    ReplyDelete
  27. He was altering the book, to make it look like it had been water damaged. He is there to make Emma believe in the curse. That's why he took her to the well. The whole thing about finding something that was lost to you and having her drink from the wishing well. He wants her to open her mind to the possibilities.

  28. Really liked that episode!
I love Emma & August (if that is his name!) - I think he's good and there to help Emma.
I think I may even prefer them to Snow/Charming!

  29. Not the most entertaining episode but it was a necessary episode.
     - Given Mary Margaret and David's behavior (especially David's), this is exactly the outcome that should have happened.  Kudos to OUAT for giving us a sensible, realistic resolution to this mess.
     - OUAT gave us a little more "dumb Emma" this week.  There's no way any sensible person actually accepts that Henry's book just finds its way to Emma's car like that.  Stop writing her that way, OUAT.
     - What was August doing to the pages of that book?  What was he coating the pages with?  Did he rewrite or alter any of the pages?
     - All of the Emma / Mary Margaret scenes were good once again.  Their interactions are one of the strongest aspects of the series.
     - Regina is no one's friend.  The only feelings she's capable of are purely selfish ones.
     - In the beginning, I didn't like Kathryn very much in either timeline but now I'm disappointed that she's gone.  While the absence is necessary (for now) to further the story, it'll be nice to get her back all the same.
     - I get that people are throwing a lot of hate at David for his behavior but Mary Margaret is far from innocent.  They were both involved in this affair.  The only difference is that David was being shadier about it than Mary Margaret was.  When you start a relationship that's founded on cheating and lying, you can't be surprised when the person your involved with cheats and lies.

  30. I wish david  would make a better choice but the writers had to keep them apart some how.  at least it was a realistic resolution. I am sure they will be together someday.  true love's kiss and all.

i liked the continuing story but its also getting a little slow. the main thing that keeps me going is rumple/gold mainly and i also like regina/queen and emma but if they got rid of rumple/gold/robert caryle then theres a good chance i would stop watching. to me they keep the show going and rumple is the best of the characters. tired of dave and mary and their counterparts they are boring, archie is barley in the show so i dont count him, and henry....eh he's a kid hard to say. the guests are ok.

  32. I'd like to see Jafar, Ursula, Cruella (we've seen Pongo), etc... I guess more Disney villains haha

    ReplyDelete
  33. Love it,prince charming isn't so charming in real life!

    ReplyDelete
  34. My theory is the same, that August is the writer of the book!

  35. great episode. I'm still really missing some positive progress though. this one step forward two steps back thing is killing me. We, the viewers knows a lot. but Emma really only knows that Regina is the enemy somehow. and eventhough it's been a little harder for the mayor, she still very much controls everything

    ReplyDelete
  36. Another great episode, although I preferred last weeks. It's quite annoying they've made David a bit of an unlikeable jerk, first cheating and then not telling Catherine. Surprised I've now begun to like Catherine though!

  37. Don't think I will ever get over how evil Regina is!

    ReplyDelete
  38. I think that August Wayne Booth is a play on Wayne C. Booth, a literary critic who coined the term "unreliable narrator."

    ReplyDelete
  39.  lol, just have to shave his hair and eyebrows off and give him a black suite.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Hmmm,  well that may have been a little revealing about my mind.  You went to literary commentary...I went straight for assassination.  :-D

    Thanks for the info!

  41. It was okay but god Mary is so bland and lifeless...

  42. He was "washing" every page in water.  We saw "magic" water coming from the well in the same episode.  Could he have been "protecting" the pages of the book from something Regina might do to it if she find it again?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Interesting.  I took the whole "magic water from the well" thing to be a scam he was running on Emma.   To con her into accepting the appearance of the book without question.
