Anyone else getting tired of the Red John story? I'm at the point where I just don't care any more. The guy Jane killed at the end should've been Red John. This season premiere was a huge let down since it revealed Red John was still out there. I would've prefered that he was dead and his followers were still up to no good rather than the writers stepping back from last season's awesome finale.
It's definitely me Mr. Patrick Jane! I will aways loving the Red John Arc because it's part of the Show. It's the red string which seperates The Mentalist from other Crime Series.
But I was kind of disappointed with this episode. There were a few good scenes like Jane/Lisbon desperation, Jane/Darcy mind attack,VanPelt/Rigsby conversation even suspicious Wainwright was interesting to watch. But the first 25 minutes were boring and I was repeatedly asking myself "When do we get to see the more interesting parts?". The last 15 minutes were really good but that's not what I want from this show.
I will be fascinated in the first 5 minutes which was usually not a problem in the past. But I felt nothing.. no tense.. no laughing... no excited.. not even after 10 minutes and that's what disappointed me because I know they can do it far more better (case vs RJ Arc).
AMAZING! so far S4 is making me fall in love with this show again.. I love the continuity of the story.. my God the last 15 minutes were AWESOME! Wainwright was acting VERY weird about those files & I really REALLY like that guy SO PLEASE TPTB don't kick him out of this show **pleads**
Jane/Lisbon are just so so so adorable <33333333333
I certainly didn't care when they used to drag it for so long in previous seasons but now I'm TOTALLY loving it.. I mean to get that kind of continuity after 3 seasons of separate episodes is really great..
I am! It's just so exciting to speculate how it's going to turn out =) (and sometimes creepy as hell, I love creepy Jane xD ) I'm also looking forward to the episode where Stiles will return, the last time we've seen him one could have gotten the impression that he's somehow involved in the whole thing ;)
I am loving the Red John story. Apart from season 2 finale, and the fact that Jane was let off by a jury after he had killed a man, the Red John arc has been brilliant throughout. But what I am disappointed with is the case of the week stories. They are getting worse and worse every episode. There are a couple of episodes that are good, but most of the episodes this season are below par.
But the good part is the Red John story continuity has been really good for viewers like me who watch every week.
Loved the episode and love the Red John story. They're the most interesting and creepiest eps. They should definitely focus more on it and improve the "normal" cases (to the first season quality plz).
Not bad. - I can't tell if the fed has sinister motives or if she's just a red herring. (no pun intended) I'm leaning toward the idea that she's just doing her job. - Rosalind Harker appearances are always welcome. I'm a little surprised that Red John hasn't killed her yet. - Wainwright is acting shady. It's fine with me because I'm not a fan of his anyway. - I'm surprised and pleased that The Mentalist has become a little more serialized this season.
I thought the episode was rather average. But the Red John case has me completely enthralled. I loved season one and two, but the first half of season three had be bored and losing interest. Then they revitalized the Red John case by getting some movement to the story. Red John should not have gone out like he did last season. I'm glad he gets the chance to really shine with this current story arch and I can't wait to see what happens next.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
