  2. I want to have Stana's babies!  Just kidding...but not really...

Fun episode and she looked gorgeous!

By the way, it seems like Mark Pellegrino has been on all the shows that I've watched!  LOST, Supernatural, Chuck, Dexter, Being Human, Burn Notice (one episode), & now Castle!  He's in The Big Lebowski and I even recognized him in National Treasure after I watched that movie again (small role).

  3. Can anyone explain to me why its playing so late today?^^; I don't have a TV at school (living on the university's campus from monday to thursday every week) so I don't know what happened with the schedule

  4. Pure, distilled, brilliance. If this season's two-parter lives up to the last two, this could end up being the best 3-episode run of any tv show i've ever watched.

  5. One of the best homage pieces I have seen on TV and the case was very interesting.

  6. That is true have you seen the promo to Pandora? Rick finally gets his wish Kate's car is scrapped! Too Bad they are in it when it happens!

  8. Loved it. Knew it was gonna have it's cheesy moments, but I loved it for that. And one word.... "boyo"... (say it like a leprechaun) lol

  9.  the necklace was definately wrong for the era. pretty, but wrong! art moderne jewelry was characterized by graceful sweeps as opposed to the harsher art deco angularity which was the preceeding style. and jeweled flower outlines would have been better rather than the hippy buyyerfly motif. that said, i would still love to own that necklace!

  11. yeah so, none of the options really covers the episode. the option of "i think they have finally killed me" would really have been a hit tonight i say.

  12. Simply fantastic.  Pure brilliance - and pure fun! - all through.   It was obvious the whole cast loved every minute, and I am just floored at how well they all jumped into their 'noir' alter-egos, AND how gorgeous they all looked doing it!   Stana Katic and Tamala Jones, especially, looked drop dead gorgeous, and Nathan Fillion proved what we always knew must be true: he really WAS born to wear a fadora.
Even before I've had time to re-watch, this one has just vaulted up into my short list for all time favorite episodes.   Bravo, Team Castle!

  13. Spectacular work from the writers, cast and crew. The costumes and the accents killed me. So good. This is how noir episodes should be done.

  14. absolutely awesome! it has become my fav episode... i was really scared cos i had such high expectations with the hype and all... but of course the cast and crew brought their A game and gave us a fantastic awesomesauce episode!

  15. Yeah, it wasn't a very '40s' necklace, but they didn't give it a precise date, did they?  Castle mentioned it had once belonged to an S.S. Officer's mistress, which could easily get us back to the '30s, and who knows how long before that it was meant to have been made.   There has certainly been plenty of gaudy jewelry all down the ages!
I could actually see this prop as a nod to some of the ornate, swoopy, often nature-inspired motifs that turned up in some arts and crafts movement designs, though that could be a stretch.  I really ought to brush up my art history!

  16. it was a good episode but nothing more, i was affraid to have overplay scripts... i don't blame Stana and Nathan performance, they were really good but i'm blaming the scripts. The scripts makes the story look less serious

  17. Just watched and that was amazing! One of my favorite episodes. And Joe and Vera's story was so sweet.

  18. Wow, that was amazing. Definitely lived up to all the hype =)

  19. What's better than "Awesome"?! This episode was just completly amazing and the ending was just perfect

  20. Loved it!  I think they did a good job moving between the 40s and the present, and everyone fit pretty well into the noir motif.  Ryan was a fantastic Irishman, and I enjoyed Mark Pellegrino, as well.  Very fun episode!

  21. awesomesauce and beyond XD
the only complaint: does it have to be so short? >.<

  22. Putting aside that I had essentially seen half the episode through the sneak peeks and figured out the rest in 5-6 minutes, I ADORED IT!

  23.  I thought it was great, but not an awesome episode that i was expecting.

But that kiss in the end,now that was a great starter kiss.

  24. I voted great. I enjoyed the both cases, past and present. And I did get a kick out of Alexis (or Sally) being the villain but it was unbelievably predictable. As soon as we found out the bodies had been burned I knew Vera and the PI would be alive. Enjoyable but not quite top-notch Castle.

  25. OMG! This episode was amazingly awesome!!!

  26. Cheesy but fun.
     - Castle asking Ryan to say "boyo" repeatedly had me rolling.
     - I loved how uninterested Kate and Esposito were about the story at the beginning and by the end they were both so into it.
     - Mark Pellegrino's role was smaller than I expected.
     - I didn't expect the Blue Butterfly to end up being fake.  I thought Castle would find it, take it, and give it to Kate as a surprise sometime later in series.
     - I knew that old couple was the PI and the moll right away.
     - Castle's slip of the tongue, referring to the woman in the diary as "Kate," was funny.
