wow, the 4 that voted awesome just on the thought of Alcatraz (since it was preempted for the Daytona 500) are def fans, and the "awful" voter is prob the same troll who does this for practically every poll.... lol
So, yeah, what the hell? I don't live in the States but what the hell? Did the episode even air last night? If not the when has the been pushed to? How will this effect the two hour episode in March 5th? And the two hour finale?
No, it was not on. It will probably air next monday, unless Fox learned from what happened with baseball and Fringe, and decides to throw it on a different night this week.
much have been shown on Itunes as i got it for a torrent site :) like all my shows as i dont live in the US and most of the episodes shown here are old... lol this is not me tryin to spam :P Alcatraz.S01E08.720p.WEB-DL.DD5.1.H.264-KiNGS
Could have read the posts before yours to know what's up ;) .. and you have the whole internet, so there is certainly a way to watch it, as I will later tonight.
Ep. 8 & 9 are going to air next Monday, then 10 and 11 the following two Mondays, with the season closing with another two hours (12 & 13) on March 26.
Downloaded the episode of a torrent..It was alright, every episodes getting a bit similar, each one is structured the same mostly, find clues of a prisoner, go after him, chase him down and then either capture him or kill him, with some mystery in the last couple of minutes. i hope it breaks this routine soon and not continue it for all of the prisoners haha although saying that, Clarence Montgomery was one of my favourite prisoners so far, along with Jack Sylvane
well, finally saw the ep from an "outside source", and it was very good, not quite awesome, but they gave us some good development on why the 63'ers might be behaving the way they are and a loose theory on what the significance of the blood is....
That's my problem with ALL procedural TV series. After half a season every episode starts to feel the same to me... .and Alcatraz is no exception honestly. However, I'm enjoying the overarching mystery enough that I can tolerate the repetitive aspects and enjoy the new myth arc elements and trying to figure them out. If not for the serial elements I would have far less interest and probably quit watching when this season ends, if not before.
I'll watch this episode later tonight, but I'm looking forward to it if it's one of the better ones!
I also enjoyed the episode, while it certainly wasn't one of the better ones so far. Little mythology, if interesting pieces, and a charismatic inmate, but the story itself was quite a downer, also with the sad ending.
By the way, if you find out Montgomery's AZ #, tell me ;D
Yeah I don;t have it either. The Fox/ Alcatraz site has a photo album for mugshots, but they only update the 63 of the week a day or two after the episode airs. http://www.fox.com/alcatraz/photos/#extras/mug_shots:14789448
Since technically FOX never aired the episode we may need to wait until this time next week to get Clarence Montgomery's mugshot and AZ#. At least it's not available on the site yet and it usually is by this time if I recall.
I screencapped the "flashback imagery" that Dr Beauregard imprinted in Clarence Montgomery's memory. I ignored the crime scenes photos that related to Montgomery's specific crime and just am uploading the unrelated images.
Interesting episode. - Why the hell did the warden want to brainwash an innocent man? That really sucked. - I definitely felt sorry for Montgomery more than any other Alcatraz inmate. - Speaking of Montgomery, why didn't he tell Lucy what Beauregard did to him? - After this episode, It'll be a month or so before I can eat ribs again.

ReplyDeleteI'd have to agree with the "awful" rating, it was just 1 long car chase, yawn.
ReplyDeleteDue to the 2 hour delay from the big crash, pre-empted on the west coast too.
ReplyDeleteThanks all. We'll re-run the poll again when the episode actually airs :)
ReplyDeleteWhew. I was freaking out when I didn't see it on my dvr.
