    musicians play instruments, you meant "recording artists" you include ever rapper and nearly none of your names mentioned are musicians, yet you don't even mention a real musician/actor like Kris Kristofferson? Come on.....

    Mark Whalberg and Will Smith are the best for me.  Justin Timberlake is surprisingly bearable.  The rest are unwatchable in my opinion.

    I have a surprising amount of respect for Justin Timberlake. To be honest, I rolled my eyes and thought it was kind of hilarious way back when when I found out he was going to try his hand at acting - but he kind of surprised me.  He's not awful!

    Oh yes! I just watched a Springsteen special last night, and there he was. He was fantastic on The Sopranos. (Except when he killed Adriana. Grrrr).

     I can agree. I was never a fan of his and I was just like, oh here's another singer/musician trying to act. But he's not bad. Kinda fun. He has a charm. I like him.

    David Bowie, Will Smith, Barbra Streisand, Mark Whalberg...
    But this is a very small list, many actors have recorded some good albums and a lot of famous singers and musicians succeed to play in some good movies ...For examples off this list, when I was a young girl I have been thrilled by Sting performance in Dune, more recently I loved Robert Downey Jr. album and I'd love he perseveres in this path.
