Update: 1st March 10:30 We've found an issue that we're trying to resolve. Basically any Show that as more than one word. eg Breaking Bad etc these alerts are not working. Shows with a single word, eg Fringe, Glee, Castle etc all work.
Update: 1st March We've now added another batch of shows that are available for Mobile Notifications as well as making it easier for you to Subscribe to the Shows You want.
New shows added are Breaking Bad, Doctor Who, Sons of Anarchy, Person of Interest, Revenge, Lost Girl, Game of Thrones, True Blood, Hawaii Five-0, White Collar, NCIS: Los Angeles. These are in addition the existing shows we have already created.
To Access the show(s) you want. Simply Install the free AlertRocket App if you have not already done so.

Once installed, open the App and click on the Gallery Button
Scroll Down to the "Entertainment" Section and click it.
You will then see all the Show Specific Notifications that are currently available.
Then click the show you want and click the Subscribe Button.
Update: 17:40 Due to all the emails we've received we've added 15 New Show Specific Mobile. We'll add more shows if there is a demand.

This feature will send you an alert to your Smartphone (Android/iOS compatible) when there is new information available here at SpoilerTV.
Currently there are just 2 Types of Alerts (we will be extending this to other shows if the testing phase in successful).
1) SpoilerTV (This will alert you when there is ANY new info posted on the site)
2) SpoilerTV - Fringe (This will alert you when there are any new articles with the Label FRINGE)

You will then be directed to Install an App on your Phone called AlertRocket. If you already have this click the "I already have this button, otherwise click the Install Button. The app will then install and you're set to go.
Now whenever there is a new post you will receive an alert on your phone and if you click the alert you will be taken to the new article.

It just says 'you do not currently have any notifications'.
However, some things were posted in the Once Upon A Time' and I still did not get any notifications :/
I did see that some bugs were fixed, so i'm hoping that when something get's posted, that i'll get a notification then :)

So what happens exactly. If you can explain in as much detail as possible I can then pass it onto the developers
Usually when you set your notifications on for a certain app whenever you get one it'll show up at the notification center, in case you missed it (in lockscreen)you can just slide on the notification and it'll bring you right to the app where the notification is originated.
ReplyDeleteInstead of that I just get a standard alert styled like in iOS 4 with just the option of open and close.
And of course there's no sound at all when I get alerted, so basically when I'm not near my phone, I would've known if I received any alerts.

Sounds are high on the list!
The notification appearance can be controlled through "Settings->Notifications->AlertRocket" there your user can control how they appear, and whether they show up on the notification center. Unfortunately the defaults are not controllable by my end, but I'm surprised that it's not there by default.
The one exception is that if the app is open when the notification is received we use the iOS 4 style pop-up as that's the only thing we can in-app.
