The Munsters - Bryan Fuller pilot no longer in contention for upfronts @ NBC, Ex-Comm not picked up @ ABC
10 Feb 2012
Pilot ShowsBryan Fuller's The Munsters remake has been delayed due to difficult in casting, the pilot could still film later in the summer after the upfronts to content for mid-season.
This leaves NBC will much less drama pilots than last year: only 8 and alot of which will probably not be good enough to be picked-up last year NBC left 5 drama pilots not picked up if the same happens this year..only 3 new dramas (good news for fans of bubble dramas @ NBC).
Also ABC's Sci-Fi presidential drama Ex-Comm appears to be dead/ not picked up to pilot.

Thought Ex Comm sounded interesting, shame it's not going ahead.
ReplyDeleteNice to know NBC is giving their new shows some time to grow and only taking the strongest of pilots compared to grasping at anything like the last few years!
ReplyDeleteGuess that's good news for Smash, Grimm, Harry's Law and Awake too. Now a couple of them have a fighting chance at surviving to see another year.
i doubt NBC will keep the Sing Off in the Fall (probablygo back to being a december show) so that will probably open two more hours in the fall
ReplyDeleteI just fnished watching Wonderfalls, Dead Like Me and Pushing Daisies. I need a new
ReplyDeleteBryan Fuller show!
Sounds like a good idea they're holding the show back until they're ready.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy,i never want to see The Munsters again, once was more then enough! :P
ReplyDeleteWhy were they casting for Ex-Comm if it wasnt picked up to pilot?
ReplyDeleteit must have been part of its put pilot thing
ReplyDeletethe time for ordering drama pilots appears to have passed and ex-comm was not ordered to pilot at least not according to the main sites covering development , Deadline and The Futon Critic plus no one was actually cast in it
I love Bryan Fuller but the Munsters project does seem really odd to me, but if they give it more time to work out what to do with it before filming it could work
ReplyDeleteIf this means 'Harry's Law' has a chance of a third season then I'm stoked!
ReplyDeleteHhhmmm.... this could be noting, but it could also mean trouble... wait and see I guess.
