  2. Seems that people in CW dont have to worry about the ratings if theier show is the most discussed on the internet.

  3. Ratings do matter on any network. Being talked about on the Internet does not bring in the money.  It is ratings (and especially 18-49 demo)  which determine how much the network can charge for advertising, which helps to pay for the production of the show. If the show cannot cover its production, then what is the point of having it on the air.

    1. Ironically, these days the demo advertisers are most interested in the 25-54 demo, 18-49 is 3rd in importance. It's just that old habbits die hard, so that's what everyone still posts.

    2. If that was the case then we would get ratings for 25-54.

  6. Well at least Fringe is holding steady at the #4 spot!

  7. Gossip Girl still on top?  Must be all the "Dair" vs. "Chair" craziness.

  8. Bizarre. A show that's almost dead, nobody really cares about anymore, and most probably lost more viewers by percent than any other show before is still the most popular on here. Why is that?

  9. Nice to see Castle and OUAT doing well.

  10. How come there is no NCIS  anywhere on the poll? Currently, it is the highest rated drama on TV, so ... that seems odd. People watch that show and don't talk about it? Or what, these days the shows that are about to get cancelled are more popular?

  11. A lot of popular shows I think probably are ones more watched casually or the people don't want to see the spoilers? *shrugs*

Many scifi shows have a lot of dedicated fans so those types make sense to be up there. CW watchers also seem to really like spoilers?

This list really shows which shows have people most interested in spoilers, not popularity or viewers watching it.

  13. There was a research from a university student last year that scifi show tend to atract more online fans, attract a bigger community cause it created a whole univers unique to the show that you can discuss and all

And also don't forget, ratings are ratings from Nielson Box, LIVE, in the US. Considering how many box are used, its a HUUUGGE extrapolation. And add to that people who may watch online (especially for the CW shows and the cable shows for which you have to pay extra at some place to see hose channels...while you could only wait 1 hour and have it free online), especially younger people. And after that, add the international factor, SpoilerTV has members from al round the world, not just US person
