Edward Asner Guest Stars as the Town’s Veteran Newsman, Ben

BRICK TAKES A JOB AS A NEWSPAPER DELIVERY BOY, AND SUE CONVINCES HERSELF THAT A LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN HER AND MATT WILL WORK, ON ABC’S “THE MIDDLE”

“The Paper Route” – Brick takes a job as a newspaper delivery boy from the town's veteran newsman (Edward Asner) in order to buy himself night vision goggles, and Axl tries to convince Sue that a long distance relationship will not work between her and boyfriend Matt when his family moves away from Orson. Meanwhile, Sue tries to adjust to wearing a full-on headgear, and Frankie discovers that Mike has been secretly hoarding batteries for years, on “The Middle,” WEDNESDAY, MARCH 14 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

“The Middle” stars Patricia Heaton as Frankie, Neil Flynn as Mike, Charlie McDermott as Axl, Eden Sher as Sue and Atticus Shaffer as Brick.

Guest starring are Edward Asner as Ben, Moises Arias as Matt, Katlin Mastandrea as Ashley, Grace Bannon as Ruth, Jessica Marie Garcia as Becky and Doug Sinclair as Coach.

”The Paper Route” was written by Jack Burditt and directed by Lee Shallat Chemel.
