Love it!
ReplyDeleteNot really thought about the dad before. We know he's an incubus, but other then that, nothing else.
Love it!
ReplyDeleteI was so frustrated last year that the show didn't explore this part of Bo's origins and that Bo didn't ask about his father.
Of course this season I was so disappointed by the the first episodes that I totally forgot...
Thank both the Dark and Light Fae!
ReplyDeleteThis season has been way too light for me.
Between the ridiculous romance drama and the over-snarky Kenzi and the the filler COTW episodes it has fallen quite flat for me.
have they really explored anything. they hardly even explored the romance drama. it has been a lot of cotw.
ReplyDeleteHmm... do we know he was an incubus? We know he was a Fae of some sort and Bo's mom is a succubus, but does that mean he has to be an incubus?
ReplyDeleteMaybe her dad was some other Fae species? I'm not sure we know if there can be mixed Fae parentage. I think on one episode Dyson claims to be 1/4 leprechaun, but maybe it was in jest?
we do not know for sure
ReplyDeleteto be a succubus either her father is an incubus, her mother is a succubus or both
I'm hoping for 13 episodes and hopefully in S3 they will go into Bo's past. I was disappointed that they didn't do so in this season
ReplyDeleteI could have sworn I either read it or it was mentioned in a scene with Trick. I'll use it as an excuse to rewatch season 1.
ReplyDeleteNot really that interested in Bo's direct past as much as her origins, which is what I imagine they're talking about. I want to know more about Trick and Aoife and exactly how that relates to Bo.
ReplyDeleteWell, her mother is for sure a succubus.
ReplyDeleteFor me too. I actually can't remember very much about the entire season other than that there was a body swap episode. There's been so much filler and romantic stuff that the season's 'arc' episodes have been lost in the shuffle
ReplyDeleteI agree. 13 episodes makes for a stronger season arc.
ReplyDeleteI agree-- it seems that with less episodes there can be a stronger season arc and less fillers
ReplyDeleteI think the season 1 left open questions about Bo's father, he was like a huge mystery which no one ever talks about. I remember I was wondering whether he was an incubus or some other Fae.
ReplyDeleteI just started a rewatch myself. Only 3 episodes in, but It's nice to see the good episodes again! XD
ReplyDeleteDarker? Darker how? This show has had its fair share of trouble balancing humor and whimsy with dark drama. Changing the tone of the show could throw it out of whack even more.
ReplyDelete"Season 3 will begin filming in mid-April and is still awaiting a decision on whether it will be 13 or 22 episodes."I'd imagine that the episode order will depend on whether or not SyFy buys the third season rights along with the other two they have already purchased.
yeah "Vexed" was much darker than the rest of the episodes and was my favorite
ReplyDeletei think regarding the episode count 22 is probably a given they just dont wanted to order too many episodes ahead in one go
The person who wrote "Vexed" (Michelle Lovretta) doesn't write for Lost Girl anymore and no one after her has lived up to the promise of that episode. If Lost Girl is going darker, they had better be very careful about it.
ReplyDeleteperhaps ML will have time to write the first few episodes of Season 3 in between Secret Circle seasons?
ReplyDeleteThey have the director of "Vexed" coming back to direct 2.21
i personally think the show could be better darker but still keeping some humor
i loved 1.08 and 2.13
The Secret Circle isn't doing so hot in the ratings so she may be available for even more than that. :)
ReplyDeleteI realised I got the "info" from the Lost Girl's wiki, and they probably just assumed. My mistake.
ReplyDeleteThere have been a couple episodes where she can change dark magic (S2E12 (pulling out other cursed nails), S2E14(punching ryan w/ belt on and still effecting him)). I suspect she is a fairy princess from the dark fae king and having the ability to manipulate the dark fae powers is an interesting idea. I've got alot of guesses. Episode 17 created another cliffhanger and I liked that they used Hale's character to expand on fae power inheritance.
ReplyDeleteThe sandman and the nightmare had kids, so I am guessing her parents could be mixed. I also think the leprechaun was a joke, they said he looked "green" from nausea when he said that.
