Per usual, The Vampire Diaries dropped a whole lot of information and awesomeness on us tonight, all while dressed up in ball gowns and tuxedos. Seriously, they are too kind—so kind in fact that executive producer Julie Plec sat down with members of the press to discuss where all our beloved characters (and relationships!) go from here. Hint: it's complicated.

    I don't want Elijah to fall for Elena---I don't even like the thought. But I do believe that Elena feels bad about having Elijah drink the tainted champagne.

    I'm going on a limb (no pun intended) but I believe that, now that Esther has bonded her children into some twisted vampire family "Tree of Life/Death," we'll learn that not only will the Original siblings all die if one dies but so will ALL vampires in the world, since the Originals created this "race" of vampires. (And they are the original of the vampire spell) That means that Stefan and Damon and Elena and Company will be eventually teaming up with the Originals, against Mama Witch...who will be the true "Big Bad" of the seasons. I see her bringing with her an army of witches (alive and dead). And then season 4 will lead into the season of the witches.

    Just throwing it out there...of course, I'm probably completely wrong. ;)

     thats a amazing theory!! i think its very possible that something like this happens!! but we should not forget there is still a murder running around in mystic falls .. i guess the writers want us to concentrate on the originals so we kind of forget about the murder and then when nobody thinks of him anymore.. BANG!! *big twist or something* lol

    Seriously amazing theory. I think its a damn good one. In my mind, I'm like they need to stop going after Klaus. I know many want revenge but at this point Elena is safe that we know of, as Klaus needs her alive to keep making hybrids. So unless Esther tries to kill Elena again to prevent future hybrids and doppelgangers, just drop the whole killing Klaus thing. But yeah. The Original Family just woke up...we can't lose Elijah again so soon!

    I don't think they writers are gonna ever let Damon and Elena be with each other she still likes Stefan more it seems even after he tried to kill her..

    I had actually the same idea (I post it before in the Dangerous Liaisons post). And I REALLY hope that we are right! I hope the originals siblings stays in Mystic Fall. They are starting a romantic plot between Klaus and Caroline so I guess they won't kill him off soon?? Mama original seems like a big villain. My bet is on her, I would have love to see some maternity on her... Wasn't her the mother that loved her children SO MUCH that she couldn't bear the thought of loosing them? Well, I didn't see a lot of that on her!

    Wait, what?  What right does Elena have to be pissed about anything?  If it wasn't for the promise that Damon made to Elena earlier this season, he should just wash his hands of her and be done with it.
